We stayed here on our way to New Mexico. The room was clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for after a long day driving and was needing a good night's sleep!

Coupla things to attend to

This hotel is easy to find and I think the rooms are nicely laid out. Beds comfortable, good lighting, nice counter space in bathroom etc. A coupla things... Having read recent reviews I thought to check to see if the toilet flushed in my room before I got settled. It didn't. So I went down and asked to be moved to another room. That toilet worked on the first flush but not so well on the next. Took the lid off the tank and saw a little adjustment needed to be made so I did that and had no further trouble. But this leads me to say something about hotel housekeeping and maintenance in general, not just this place. More than once I have encountered rooms that were not cleaned or maintenance that needed doing and have been told "The housekeepers have gone home" or whatever. My question of the day is: WHY DON'T THESE NICE HOTELS ACROSS THE COUNTRY HAVE AT LEAST SOMEONE ON STANDBY THEY CAN CALL TO COME IN AND DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE? I mean, if I am home I call a 24-hr plumber, right? It seems to me hotels across the country have gotten lazy about just shrugging their shoulders and indicating there's nothing they can do. This is not to pick on Comfort Suites. The last place this happened to me at was some Hyatt up in Pennsylvania.

The real annoying thing is that all the bathroom linens were DAMP. I thought it was just the hand towel I had begun using the night before but after showering the morning after I found every single bathroom linen was...damp. They obviously didn't stay in the dryer long enough. Haven't had this happen to me before. Also, the bed sheets felt slightly damp but I thought maybe it was just humidity in the room - though in West Texas this is not likely to be the case. Oh well.

Clean room, New bed, larger than normal tv. Check in was efficient and helpful clerk. Breakfast less than expected. Had to interupt clerk from playing game on phone with her friend to get coffee made for breakfast bar.

After driving on I-10 in Texas between Austin and Phoenix enough I found this hotel. I always stop on the east side of freeway for gas and coffee and drive on. No more. This hotel is 5 star. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Great free breakfast with French toast and pancakes and waffles. The indoor jacuzzi and pool were just what this body needed. I'll never drive nonstop. I'm staying here

Our first time at this particular Comfort Suites and we were very pleased. We are members of Choice Hotels and this one we are happy to recommend. Very clean, friendly staff, well lit hallways and a spotless room with good amenities. Breakfast was typical CH fare, well presented and lots of it if you were hungry!

Good sized and well lit parking lot.
