TravelPansyon 07/06/2017 20:42I randomly picked this hotel because I wanted something 1/2 way between Denver airport and Vail. This isn't quite 1/2 way, but it got me out of the Denver traffic. It's a tricky to find at night. I must have made a wrong turn along the way because I was on a gravel road for part of my journey. When I left in the daylight, it was much easier to navigate.
The hotel is on a hill. So, if you're late getting in, you may end up having to walk up the drive. Good for your lungs. The hotel looks like a chalet. Definitely upscale appearing. Staff were very nice. My room was a suite. Everything was fine with one exception. The bed is very tall. I am very short. I had to use something in the room to be able to climb into the bed. Unfortunately, I needed a bio break during the night, so, I had to do the same thing again! Otherwise, the bedding was comfortable, the noise level was minimal, the bathroom amenities were fine, the room was clean, etc. I couldn't get the remote to work, but I was too tired to worry about it.
Breakfast was available at the time that they stated. Nice assortment of hot and cold options. Nice size breakfast area and TV available for the news.
Wonderful Hotel in Beautiful Setting
Tish Son 02/06/2017 21:51My husband & I spent 1 night in this wonderful hotel on our way home to TX from a road trip to CA & wish we'd had time to stay longer. Our clean & spacious room was a 2 queen bed suite with a back door to a patio. Nice amenity. The staff was friendly, courteous & professional. Hot breakfast was good.
A delightful stay
Mark6155on 25/05/2017 04:08We have no complaints for our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and well-kept. The scenery was fabulous. We had breakfast in the morning and traveled the mountainsides throughout the day returning to a clean room. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Giant beds
aspencade92on 25/05/2017 00:12We checked in, asked for a two bed room. When we got to the room, the bed were so high that my wife was unable to get into it, even with my help. When I asked at the desk for a stepstool or such, I was told they had none. They offered the one king bed room when we had specifically asked for and needed a two bed room. My wife then had to use the fold out couch and was almost unable to get out in the night to use the facilities. She spent the remainder of the night in the easy chair. When I told the desk in the morning, their only reply was "Oh, we're sorry" no offer ofr compensation or anything. Emails to the manager were as unhelpful as the desk personnel. Since they had offered the king bed, that was a sufficient solution to our problem. Still nothing about compensation for our discomfort. Will never go that way again or send anyone that way. Even at my height of 6'4", I had to kick my leg up to gain entry into the bed. Just because they are next to the mile high city, doesn't mean that they have to have mile high beds!
Great weekend other than snow
Barbara5852on 24/05/2017 15:05We traveled to Evergreen for a high school graduation..we were in a mini suite and was very happy with the amenities; didn't expect a Jacuzzi! The room was comfortably warm, considering we had over a foot of snow while there. Complimentary continental breakfast was a plus. The staff was very friendly.
