Nice, comfortable room at a good price.
QueenOfHuronForeston 25/08/2017 22:40We stayed a night here on our way travelling thru KY; pre-booked online, got a discounted price. Our room (214) was very nice & newly remodeled, without any of the flaws seen in other reviewer's photos. A/C was on & room cool already; clean & comfortable. New furniture, carpet, bathrm fixtures. The parking wasn't great - a long ways to haul luggage upstairs and down long halls; outside could use some attention, and hallway carpets were soiled. But it looks like they are working on improvements, and our main concern was the room, which was fine, and the price, which was reasonable.
Breakfast area was too small, room not serviced
SeenFiftyStateson 24/08/2017 04:52We stayed here two nights. Bed was comfortable. However, the room was not serviced the following day. At breakfast it was too small and it was at the reception desk. Smallest breakfast area I ever saw. We couldn't sleep the second night because of toddlers above us that made a noise stomping until midnight. When we checked out we forgot our cell phone chargers on the night stand. I called that same day and they wouldn't check the room. Said the manager would call the following day. He didn't so I called again. This was weekend and got another run around. Called him on Monday and he said No they haven't seen them. I don't understand why they couldn't check the room to see. Don't plan on staying there again.
2 day stay
Michelle Gon 04/08/2017 02:30If you need a hotel in this area .....pay a little more and move on.
Front door looked shot out, carpets everywhere was filthy, breakfast was so incredibly skimpy and cheap!
Rooms smelled weird and bathroom caulking was moldy.
"Comfortable but Needs Serious upgrade"
coppertone_dreadson 01/08/2017 19:18My cousin and I stayed at the Rodeway Inn July 28/July 30th. We were in town for the Cincinnati Music Festival. We arrived pretty late and the parking lot was bright and for the most part the hotel lot was pretty full. We approached the front entrance and noticed the door glass was cracked. My cousin looked at me and I am sure we were both thinking the same thing (sketchy). The check in process went well, we were given our room key and directions how to get to room 152 by car. The back of the hotel has more car space and also a stone picnic set in which I thought was a good addition for the grounds.
To get into the building that has locked doors we had to use the pad that's on the building door for entrance. That was the first thing that I noticed needing improvement.
I asked for an accessible room for handicap purposes, there was nothing in room 152 that aided me when I need to get out of the tub. There should have been a bar to help me pull myself up or to help me balance myself inside so that was disappointing. The funniest thing I have ever seen was a toilet with a seat that didn't quite fit, the entire time I had to balance myself on this seat so that I would not fall side ways, very tacky.
The bathroom sink did not have a water release so any water that we ran in the sink stayed in the sink until it drained free.
The bed was comfortable and we did check under the mattress and around the base for bed bugs and Yeah, no sign of any. The bed itself slept comfortably, also the room came with a microwave and refrigerator that kept our items nice and cold.
Rodeway Inn is directly across the street from Red Lobster and a few more feet there is also a Mcdonald's.
This hotel does have a swimming pool but no operating hot tub. The breakfast area is small and they only serve cold continental breakfast, which means, milk and cereal some muffins, breads for toast and juice, not to forget coffee.
The staff were all friendly. I had been going back and forth with Alba assistant manager during our booking so it was really nice to finally meet her. She is a wonderful lady. I want to also mention the cleaning lady who had the curly hair and wore glasses. She struck conversation with me every time she saw me.
I would stay here again but would really like to see the owners put more upgrades throughout the building and rooms. It's not a bad hotel but pricey for all the things I noticed could have been improved.
cheap price but a cheap motel
Sam Pon 29/07/2017 23:53The place was not so bad but after walking around in white socks one night I found the bottom of my shoes to be black. The only redeeming quality was the courteous service especially the maids and maintenance people. I would stay again if nothing else available, it is in driving distance of the Ark, which is why we were there. The motels near the Ark are very expensive
