Good service, nice location

The hotel is located in the centre, room was comfortable, staff at reception helpful. I think it was a bit expensive. A 3 star hotel could be a bit more renovated. The rooms were clean but a bit old. We enjoyed the pool.

I am not a Big Person but the bedroom and bathroom where so Small that I found it and times hard to Use, (Only Just room for one person) Good Thing is a large sunny balcony in the afternoon. Went Bed and Breakfast only so can't comment on the evening food,
What I can say is No full English breakfast just continental bits and bobs. Staff friendly and helpful-ish. Reasonably priced if you like Budget 2 star hotels and I would definitely Not stay there again.

Nice bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of room for one person with a large sunny balcony. Went room only so can't comment about the food. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced and I would definitely stay there again.

Basic hotel with a few pre-booking considerations

Me and my wife booked a 5-day break at Hotel Continental mid-Sept 2016 and just wanted to give others an insight into our stay. 1) The first thing to consider is that this hotel, by its own admission, frequently takes large school & college groups. We were a little unfortunate that our stay coincided with a group of around 50 college students, which meant often sharing facilities such as the dining room, pool area and other communal areas. Because of the large group, it's fair to say that their socialising also brings increased noise levels at times which may not reciprocate with your rest time! 2) The food - yes it was basic limited selection and most of the time it was acceptable but there were times when it fell short of this mark, as a result we did eat away from the hotel on frequent occasions - even though it was full board. 3) The hotel, there was a very retro feel to the place but generally it was reasonably clean and tidy. Likewise, the same goes for the pool area but the pool itself could have been a little clearer for my liking. Also, those wanting to keep connected through WiFi will find the signal is inconsistent and not very reliable, so you may need a back-up plan if you're banking on this. 4) The staff were mostly helpful, polite and welcoming but there were others who didn't quite match these expectations. 5) The resort of Tossa De Mar is a quiet and medieval town with lots of character and only 2hrs from Barcelona, so there is plenty to do! The beach is in a spectacular setting and there a plenty of restaurants and small shops. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and well located near the bus station. 6) Overall, this hotel is not going to be to everyone's taste, so if you're a couple looking for a quiet getaway (like us) then it is worth looking at other options in this great resort.

We stayed 2 weeks here. The rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels and maid always said 'hello' if you saw here. The staff were friendly and most spoke english. Pool was great and pool area fine with lots of seats and loungers. Wifi is patchy and tv mainly in spanish but there is so much to see, who wants to spend loads of time in the room?? Location was great. Everything within a few minutes walk. Wide choice of food. We were full board and picnics were available if you didnt want to come back for lunch. Hotel has a real retro feel with original features from 70s. Personally, i liked that. Its not ultra modern but for the price, its good value. All rooms have balconies and ours overlooked the sea and old town. No complaints.
