Historic Luxury
Angela Ton 15/08/2017 22:25Corinda is a unique luxury Hobart experience - it is beautifully and authentically decorated with a true respect for the historical value of the property without being "oldy worldy". This is truly unique in Hobart and in one of Hobart's most interesting locations on the Glebe looking out over the city. Corinda has views of both the River Derwent and Mt Wellington and is not only close to Hobart's waterfront but the North Hobart hub of restaurants and cafes. The full breakfast was absolutely delicious and every detail has been thought of, including the well stocked bar (full of Tasmanian gins and whiskies) in the beautiful drawing room. Thank you for an amazing stay and experience.
Old Work Charm, and Service

Julian the host, is extremely helpful and friendly.
A little bit out of the way, and on higher ground, so you need some stamina to walk back up if you travel down into main town. (but uber available !!)

Esther Yon 04/05/2017 05:11Greeted by the owner upon arrival, he guided us to the room and gave us an introduction of the room facilities. There is a booklet with some local tips and room history on the tea table for your information.
Please do not miss the amazing and impressing garden view from the room windows!
P.S. The woodfire is not warm enough but they has installed a heater so overall the room is still warm :)
Rustic Luxury
Toadgutson 14/02/2017 22:05We've just spent five nights at Corinda's Cottages and didn't want to leave. We stayed in the Gardener's Cottage, which is on the other side of the garden from the main house. The cottage was perfect. On the ground floor was the sitting room, with wood stove, a dining area and the kitchen. Along a short hallway was a washer/dryer and the bathroom.
The bathroom had a spa tub with a rain-shower shower head. I really miss that shower, as ours in Sydney is unsuited for anyone over five feet. The bedroom was upstairs with windows looking out over the garden and the city beyond.
Now here's one possible problem...the stairs to the bedroom are steep and winding and the bath is downstairs, so any middle of the night excursions could be a worry. However, we kept the light on in the hallway and it wasn't an issue.
We had a rental car, which we were able to park in the drive by the cottage. The car was great for drives outside of Hobart, but we walked everywhere when we went out in the city. The waterfront was an easy 10 - 15 minute walk. If you don't feel like walking home after dinner, a cab is less than $10.
We both loved our time in the Gardener's Cottage and will certainly stay there again.
Comfortable and beautiful

Corinda's Cottage in Hobart, Tasmania is probably the most unique and step back in time cottage with luscious gardens, and a variety of room designs where you can choose to stay at a typical English country cottage or a horse's barn setting, among other designs. Breakfast is provided for the first day, uniquely you cook your own breakfast in the cottage. A great experience and feel to the overall stay. Friendly, family-oriented staff. Highly recommend this accommodation!
