What a pity we were only able to spend one night here! Our welcome was friendly - our accommodation (Le Loft) spacious, airy and comfortable - the grounds wonderful. Everything about Cote Ocean exuded relaxation. We loved it!

Loved it, great place for families

With Cote Ocean you get all the benefits of a hotel with the flexibility of a self-catering apartment.

The site isn't too big which means it's never too busy. The swimming pool is great and warm. There's a BBQ area which anyone can use plus cooking facilities within your own apartment / house.

Breakfasts are included and freshly prepared - we loved them and set you up for the day.

It's close to La Rochelle - 15 mins by car and 25 mins drive from Rochefort. Both are well worth a visit. Close by are excellent beaches in Châtelaillon-Plage which also has many good restaurants.

The site is run by a great family who are very welcoming and can't do enough for you.

Wonderful week of rest and relaxation.

My family of five (three boys aged 11, 18 and 20) spent a fabulous week in our four bedroom villa. Downstairs was a nice open plan layout with good cooking facilities and a big fridge. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms had en suite showers and sinks and there was a shared toilet off the landing with another toilet downstairs. Beds were very comfortable and we had great sleeps, usually only just making it to breakfast around 11am.
We didn't cook a single evening meal all holiday in the villa as Olivier's dinner offerings were so delicious. Each evening meal was a fixed menu but Olivier was quite happy to make an alternative such as pizza if any of the boys didn't fancy the feature dish.
With good weather all week, it was lovely to dine outside at one of the tables overlooking the pool.
The pool was a lovely spot to relax during the day and Cathy was only too pleased to serve a cold bottle of white white to our loungers at the pool.
Having told Cathy about my love of wine, she sourced different bottles of excellent quality wine for us to try each day with dinner.
While we had a few lunches out in La Rochelle and the surrounding area, we all looked forward to relaxing at Cote Ocean in the evenings and chatting with Cathy, Olivier and all the lovely staff at their bar area after dinner.
The boys greatly enjoyed the pool table and table tennis and there were lots of big wooden tables which were great for playing card games in the evening.
The sauna and steam rooms were also a great way to unwind.
We can't thank Olivier, Cathy and their staff enough for such a wonderful week. They are lovely and generous people who made us feel very welcomed and gave us such a great holiday to remember.

Excellent stay

We had a very pleasant stay at cote Ocean. Rooms were nice and clean. The garden of Cote Ocean is very lovely. Facilities were great for our kids: pool, sports. Diner and lunch were also good. The only thing we missed at breakfast was some cheese or meat. But we could order this separate (price i don't remember).

Outstanding resort especially for families

Our extended family (10) spent a week at this delightful resort, 10 km south of La Rochelle, France. It offers a variety of on-site activities (pool, game room, billiards, volleyball, etc.) for children & adults. The apts. are very comfortable and allow meal preparation, but they provide breakfasts and the options of delicious dinners. The managers (Cathy & Olivier) and their staff are very helpful and pleasant. The interior design and landscaping is outstanding. Staff speak English.
From the resort it's a short walk to the Atlantic shore, a short drive to several beach towns and to the attractive and interesting city of La Rochelle. A car is useful but not a must.
