Ours was a Yoga retreat and what best place than Cottage Nirvana for such retreats. Amazing views, eternal stillness and silence, best for those who want to do Yoga or meditate or practice spirituality. The place has an extra extra support for sure. Not only for the meditators but also for the family ppl, solo visitors, couples, it is a place to come once. The food, the staff, owner is very friendly.
We could not enjoy the evening tea with the owner at the terrace because our Yoga retreat doesnt allowed tea. But I saw ppl having that cup of tea/ coffee. That was surreal.
Highly recommended.

We stayed in this amazing place for three days. And are definitely coming back for more. Quiet and secluded, it is difficult to believe that you are just a 7 hour journey from Delhi (5 of which are in a comfortable train).
Aditya (the owner) recommended the tree house and we were really glad we took his word for it. We got two rooms (there were two families), and were able to utilise the common balcony as a family sitting area. Sat there for one whole day watching the rain. And never felt the need to look at the phone once. Well, I did take some pictures.
There are some nice gentle hikes originating from here, which is a good after lunch walk. You will need it, because the good food and mountain air will make you pig out.
Would recommend for anyone who wants to chill out and relax. Talk and think. Or pick up a book from the surprisingly well stocked living room bookshelf.
Kids will find it a little boring, and you will have to make an effort to entertain them, though the cottage provides some painting material.

It was already my second stay in Cottage Nirvana in 2017 along, and certainly not my last! I totally love the entire feeling of the place, the setting of separate buildings within the property, especially the tree houses! The food is absolutely supreme as it is of actual home-cooked quality; simply impossible to only take one helping... The rooms are simple, but spacious and all with a superb view. With Mukteshwar being as beautiful as it is, a stay at Cottage Nirvana makes it a splendid experience indeed.

Staying in lap of nature

We stayed at Nirvana last week and I must say that it's an amazing experience for my family and friends. Food was awesome and they cook it if you've any preference. Trekking in jungle with trees loaded with peers and apple was another great experience. Kids enjoyed every bit of nature. Must visit place and i'll surely visit again in Jan - Feb to enjoy same place with snow fall.

We travelled Cottage Nirvana last week, spent 4 nights and still missing. It is great property well managed. Home food served with smile. Honest and kind people of Kumaon region left great impression. Aditya, the owner is very nice down to earth but very talented and knowledgeable person. Morning walk/trekking was awesome. Must visit place to all travel lovers. Looking forward to visit again in winter for snowfall and winter adventure activities.
