Always a good choice

Country Inn and Suites is our hotel of choice on road trips. Orangeburg location was very nice. The bed pillows were the best! The complimentry breakfast offered many good and healthy choices. Since this was an on the road stop, I did not use any of the other facilities.

Highly recommend, esp if traveling with pets

Staff was very welcoming, rooms were clean and spacious, and the breakfast had excellent variety. Rooms were well sound proofed. The hotel is located right off the highway and has a number of good restaurants nearby.

Horrible Hotel Experience

I stayed at this hotel 6/9/17 thru 6/11/17 for a church event. Normally when I'm in Orangeburg I will stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites but this hotel has a hot tub so I thought I'd give it a try and enjoy the hot tub for the weekend. To my surprise, the hot tub was out of service the entire weekend, the pool was cloudy and my son said it smelled funny. The staff had not replenished the towels by the pool. The exercise room had 4 pieces of equipment in it and two out of the 4 were out of order the whole weekend. The beds are uncomfortable. You would need 3 or 4 of their pillows in order to make one comfortable one and oh my goodness HOUSEKEEPING; they were a bunch of poorly trained, incompetent group of young girls. When I left my room on Saturday morning, I returned later that afternoon to a room in the same condition that I left it. By that I mean the beds had not been made, the trash had not been taken out and no fresh towels were delivered. The morning of check-out, housekeeping came to the room knocking on the door 2 hrs & 15 minutes prior to check-out time. I asked them where were they the previous day that time of morning when I was gone from the room and left ample opportunity for them to get in and clean prior to my return. It was just and unpleasant experience for me and I will not be back.

Housekeeping was sub par. Requested towels at 10:30 am at 5:00 pm they had not been delivered. Mattress pad on pull out sofa filthy and stains all over sofa. Breakfast was average. There was too much chlorine in the pool. Hurt your eyes when walked into the area

The breakfast was great and the worker "Melissa" was a wonderful and helpful person. She engaged in casual conversation and was very friendly to my children. She was very hospitable towards the whole family and a kind person. I am sure she is this way all the time but she is the definition of southern hospitality. The room was very big and had a refrigerator which was helpful with having a family. It was very clean and organized. The inn gave a feel of a bed and breakfast rather then a cabin hotel and also very easy walk and access to cracker barell and fast food instead of having to get in our car and drive to these places. Everyone at the hotel did and great job from the room staff to the end of our trip with the breakfast and Melissa in particular. We will stay here every year on our annual family vacation to Hilton head island!
