Good location to see Tuscany
chmidoon 07/06/2017 21:52Impruneta is a nice area to easily drive to Florence, Cortana, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and other nearby hill towns. The staff at the hotel tries very hard to accommodate everyone. The hotel was purchased by the tour company Florencetown A couple of months ago. I don't know how the hotel was prior, but there are a lot of Vespa and bike groups which come through to eat lunch as well as ongoing tours of the view and the winery. If you're trying to sit and enjoy the view and the terraces this can become very annoying. The hotel furnishings are also very country and dated. It is ready for a remodel soon. The toilets are challenging with the flushing system which you must pump over and over again. I must give credit though to the layout of our room. Traveling with two adults and two teenagers, it was like an apartment with two separate bedrooms and a living room, mini kitchen, and bathroom which was very convenient.
Peaceful and romantic villa for couples
Lajean1983on 05/05/2017 21:31We stayed in this villa for 5 nights, 3 nights from the private villa and the remaining 2, we've decided to stay longer (since we were satisfied) so we rented the other villa with shared pool. The lady who attended to us was very accommodating, she attends to us every time we needed something from the villa. She also arranged a day trip for us to Chianti and Siena. The place is very peaceful and intimate. Breakfast was lovely, the setting is very Italian. Food were great, from the variety of cold cuts and cheeses to their authentic Italian cappuccino. The private pool was one of the highlights of the villa, it is right in front of the olive trees and vineyards and very Tuscan-style. Although the interiors of the house are a bit dated, I'm sure if they make a little bit of renovation, it'll look great. To sum it all up, I am a satisfied customer and I'd definitely go back for the next summer.
Wow. What a great find
Claire Con 05/02/2017 08:11We stayed here for a week in January. It was cold but the apartments have central heating. The villa has absolutely stunning views and is a short bus ride to Florence. You can buy tickets at the reception. If you stay here it may be worth having your own transport as there are many places to visit and is so much easier with a car.
The staff are all very friendly, welcoming and speak good English. The rooms are kept very clean by a team of great cleaners.
The apartments are very well equipped. The only thing I missed was a toaster for breakfast use.
There is a safe in the apartment free of charge to use.
There is a supermarket just a 5 minute walk up the road and a restaurant at the petrol station across the road is also worth a visit.
We absolutely loved staying here and would most definitely recommend it.
The place to stay
merrylegs2525on 29/12/2016 22:16Amazing place. Stayed in the villas and apartments at different times over the years. Manages to be rustic and first class. If you are visiting the region stay here. Quiet village with places to eat. Beautiful countryside. Easy bus into Florence ( easier than taking the car). And good road links to everywhere else. The staff are so nice and there when you need them. I know I have said it already but If you are staying in the region stay here. It's a much better option than standard hotel
Good location to explore Tuscany
monocuriosoon 02/11/2016 02:36We stayed here for a week, we rented a car so we could go from here on day trips to different cities in Tuscany. We did and it was great! The only one we did by bus was to Florence, the bus stop is like 2-3 blocks away from this hotel. The Relais Villa O'lmo is something in between a hotel and an agriturismo. For what I saw, the rooms have different set ups. For example, ours had kitchen, tv and living room on the first floor and wooden stairs to go to the 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Was not the best with one toddler and a baby but we managed. Kitchen has all the basic appliances and there is a supermarket nearby. It was a little rustic for my taste but I think most agriturismo are that way. What was very nice was the swimming pool overlooking all the green that Tuscany offers. We had some amazing sunsets there. It is cool because there are tables on the terrace that allow you to enjoy the magnificent view while having some drinks.
Impruneta is a very small town but very authentic, there are good restaurants on walking distance.
