What People are saying

Needs updates plumbing

John Con 21/05/2017 13:02

The hotel is lovely looking, lots of hard woods, the rooms are big but the bedding is tired and the plumbing just plain awful. The shower was hardly a trickle, and the tub would probably take an hour to fill. It was taking so long I finely gave up however the shower could hardly remove the soap. Given the price of the rooms I would have expected better.

Business Trip

Although a little dated (tv is tube not flat screen if that's any indication), the Inn was comfortable and the staff friendly. The Inn was convenient to my destination, that's why I chose it. Probably would chose to travel a bit farther out next time, considering the price. I expected a bit more for the money.

A Smile That Turned My Midnight Into Day

Tonda Son 18/05/2017 05:34

I recently traveled on Mother's Day and had a late check in. What started as a few night stay due to over booked rooms at my original hotel of has turned into my first stop. I visit the Syracuse area once a month for a few nights stay on business. Over the past year I have seen gradual changes in their customer service with new and refreshed staff members.

I can not recall the young ladies name that checked me in but I know she was prepared for my visit and had a smile that turned my midnight into day. She was taking care of a guest on the phone and pleasantly asked them if they would mind holding for a moment and I could tell that she waited for their response prior to placing them on hold. I could tell this because these are things that I look for when dealing with customers. I may have been the last check in for the day. I gave my first name and she completed with my last night and said we have everything ready for your right hear.

From my previous stays I know that the rooms are up for renovation so my ratings are based on good old fashion customer service.

My check in time was less than three minutes and with a beautiful smile and pleasant voice that brighten my late night.

Customer Service on Spot. Quality of the accommodations lacking.

I was saddened by the condition of the 2 double bed room. The room was not what is presented in the photos on their website. The hotel has tried to make updates, but many areas are in need of repair/updating/deep cleaing- including the room that I stayed in. While they did address my concerns at check out with an apology and compensation, the message given was that renovations would occur in September. I still feel the need to share this experience for other travelers.

The common areas have been updated and are warm and welcoming. Staff were kind, informative, and efficient. They all had a very professional appearance and gave quality customer service. They wasted no time with check in and check out. They provided good directions to navigate around the property and to my room. When I presented my concerns at check out, the front desk manager immediately took care of the issue. He took time to listen to my concerns, asked follow up questions to clarify and confirm the information that I was providing to him, and offered a genuine apology and compensation.

My room was found with the following conditions:

*Mold/Mildew stained curtains
*General filth- heavy dust on some of the furniture and along the molding/carpet, fluids/stains on the bathroom door and floor and also on the walls near the beds. Mildew was heavy on the tub fixtures.
*Liquid ant trap that was completely dried up with dead ants inside along with dirty tissues under the TV stand. Sighted by sitting on the bed.
*Oreo cookie crumbs on the floor by the bed.
*Extension cords running between the mattress and box spring to the side of the nightstand and an overloaded regular cord also by the desk.
*Nightstand and side chair worn. Knob missing off dresser/tv stand.
*Significant holes in the bath towels.
*Entire rows of the bath tiles that went a great length of the bathroom were missing grout and were cracked- loose and sharp.
*Sheets did not fit the bed. Slipped off throughout the night exposing the bare mattress. No bed skirt or adequate mattress/box spring enclosed protectors.

We enjoyed the event in the adjoining conference center. Service was attentive, food and beverage was presented well and tasty. Overall, I will not look to stay at this location in the future and hope that the renovations make a positive impact to the business.

College Graduation

Bmatt51on 17/05/2017 11:03

We have stayed here before. The place is very nice. It's not fancy. The rooms are always clean. The staff is very friendly. The cost is reasonable on regular days stays, we went I've Mother's Day weekend and it was also colleges graduation weekend. The price jumped up. I was not happy but all the hotels did that in the area. I would still recommend staying here.
