Silent night
elinast2016on 23/05/2017 19:36A comfortable room, an excellent bed, no noise from the corridor, my bathroom looked brand new. There was no view from the window. Typical Scandinavian breakfast with everything you might need. There's also sauna in the hotel but I didn't try it this time.
Nice downtown hotel
Dean Pon 14/02/2017 05:17Nice friendly (even had to arrange another bed at short notice) staff, wifi works ok, parking at the back of the hotel, close to the center, not far from the station.
Breakfast could be improved.
Rooms are clean and modern decor.
Nothing fancy
Talampakanon 29/11/2016 20:08I was in Joensuu for work and stayed at this hotel, which was chosen by colleagues working at the nearby university.
The hotel is centrally located (near the City Hall and many shops). The breakfast area is transformed into an Italian restaurant at night. Breakfast included traditional Finnish food, which I found interesting. The Italian fare at night was quite good, with salads, meat at pasta.
My room had three beds which occupied most of the room, a simple bathroom, large closet and a desk.
Service was friendly and efficient.
Clean and quiet in the middle of the city

Building seems to be somewhat old already, but still the hotel is clean and quiet, so I got good night sleep in it. But: elevator was not working with my key card, and for sure expected much more from the breakfast. As a summary: average quality with quite a high price (more than 100€ / night)

Reception service is good and friendly. Nice beds, good views to a park.
Central but quiet location.
I was lacking a bath tub but shower is ok, and they have sauna at the evening, no swimming pool though.
Downstairs an Italian restaurant with ok food, food delivered to room if required.
I took take-away from a nice Indian restaurant just at the opposite to the hotel. Also shops, art museum and the market square are near.
