Rude employee
Aya Aon 09/08/2017 23:24When we checked in the employee at the front desk glared at us because I have 4 kids. He said I have to buy two bedrooms, when we were just staying at a hotel (Alexander The Great) and they welcomed us. He stated how two double beds will be enough. I told him this is never an issue I've been to over 20+ hotels and always stayed in a two double bed room. He refused to let us check in. I told him that he should respect customers in more professional way, and that I've never had this issue before and left with my kids. I couldn't even last in the dirty lobby with people smoking.
Horrible Place
Braden Hon 06/10/2016 23:23We went there today and got the last two rooms. Went we went upstairs to the rooms, they smelled mouldy and like pee. The beds were horrible and were stained, the carpet was damp in front of the bathroom and stank. The walls had paint peeling off them and had gross looking stains. I recommend skipping this dump, you couldn't pay me to stay in it.
Outdated and Almost Unacceptable!
Laila Hon 26/04/2016 00:36If you're heading to Alexandria, you have many other options than this hotel at a similar price range. It's better that you don't go there.
The reception is the nicest part, and it's not so nice. My check in was easy and fast, however, as soon as I headed to the 2nd floor, I noticed there was water leaking from the ceiling.
The room was of a good size, however, all the furniture and linens were old and over used. The sheets had holes in them and the blanket had a red stain which seemed to be blood.
The water in the bathroom was weak, so it was difficult to flush the toilet and take a shower.
There were double windows to block the noise, but nothing to keep bugs out if you choose to leave the window open. The AC made a loud noise and didn't make the room cooler, so I slept in the stuffy room with the window closed and the AC off.
There is probably some leaking through the ceiling in the room too since the carpet's colors were all blended together, again because of being old and the water.
I only stayed here because someone else had already done my reservation and I arrived at a late night hour, so it was too late to change it. If my stay had been longer than a night, I would have cancelled it. I'm just glad I didn't get bed bugs! Yikes!
French cuisine in an old Greek hotel
Paulina Ron 09/02/2016 18:32This old French restaurant is known mainly for steak flambée, prepared in front of the guest's eyes by the skilled waiter. It is one of the best steak places in Alex. Nice for a romantic dinner or an outing with a group of friends.
Try also the shrimp cocktail, escargot, profiteroles (stuffed with ice cream) and crème caramel. Serves alcohol.

They are famous with steak flambé à la poivre,shrimp cocktail,snails,frog legs, their great desserts & an oriental plate called (hannoun)
They serve alcohol as well,service is great.
Recommended to visit.
