What People are saying

Excellent value

scotsman1978on 15/07/2017 18:06

I got a double room for 59€ including breakfast.

Bed was comfortable and room spacious. The breakfast was fine.

Excellent value for money.

Internet could be faster. Apart from that there isn't any to grumble about for this price.

Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable and close to Vienna airport

Very nice hotel and friendly staff, close to Vienna airport (less than 20 minutes drive).
Rooms are very clean and comfortable.
There is no elevator in the hotel, so be prepared with small bags or ask for rooms in lower floors.
The hotel location is very quite, and breakfast is very nice.

The best of it's class.

Einfach fabelhaft.Very polite crew, they were helpful and the price for two rooms each with 2 beds(one room with double bed) are decent:90€.
This is a reliable place to spend your holiday trip night(s).I guess it's the most convenient
hostel in the near of Vienna.

We stayed here during a Golf tournament. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and i didnt hear any trains that were very loud.
Breakfast is served from 0600 during the week, and we found everything we needed.
In the evening we ate in the Hotel and the food was very good and fairly priced.
I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

In Austria We Speak German And Not English!

IM247on 17/06/2013 13:01

Without doubt, this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We encountered the rudest, most belligerent, hostile, unfriendly and unhelpful staff, we have ever found anywhere in any hotel, restaurant, bar, or anywhere else for that matter!

And yes, we were told twice - once by the owner/manager - that "In Austria We Speak German And Not English". It was said to us in such a way that it was clear that if we wanted any help or assistance, then we had better speak German, or nothing would be done for us, which proved to be the case anyway.

The problems started when we complained about the room we were given. It was NOT the same as the one in the hotel description on Booking.com. We asked for a room change and the man who "helped" us was dour and unfriendly and did not say a word to us. This was the same man who also told me on the first occasion that "In Austria We Speak German And Not English", after refusing to give me a pen and paper to write down the owner's phone number and then walking away from me, as I was speaking with him!

We had other problems too.

The internet did not work properly and the restaurant was closed, but we were not told about this when we booked.

Shortly after we moved rooms, the owner/manager, Mr Oliver Klein, showed up at our hotel room and started shouting at us, claiming we had accused him of lying about the validity of the room pictures on Booking.com, which was completely untrue. In actual fact, we told him that this was not the room we booked on Booking.com. He said it was. We said it wasn't. He became very upset - even though we knew we were right. At the time when the owner/manager, Mr Oliver Klein was shouting at us, we were on the phone to Anja at Booking.com, telling her what had happened.

Anyway eventually, Oliver Klein, the owner/manager left. We decided to check out and went downstairs with our luggage and left the key at Reception. Mr Oliver Klein, the owner/manager was sitting behind reception on the phone. We told him we were leaving. He said that we could not. He told us that he would call the Police and stand in front of our car to PREVENT US FROM LEAVING!! . I told him that this did not worry me. We loaded our luggage into the car.

Oliver Klein, the owner/manager came out after us and allegedly told us to "[--] OFF" and used another very offensive term to us in German. Other staff/family came out to laugh at us and abuse us. One even ridiculed me for wearing shorts! What they did not know is that I have a very good knowledge of German so I understood just about everything they said - even though they thought that we did not.

It was a terrible, awful experience, which we will never forget.

If you do stay there - do so at your peril - and don't even think about complaining about anything! You will be abused and shouted at.

Oh...and you had better speak German too!
