This place immediately brought back memories that go back 30 years. Old fashioned reception with typical state employee faces, shabby elevators, featureless rooms badly in need for a thorough upgrade, loose appliances in the bathroom. In short, the standard that used to be back in the old Soviet days. On the positive side, breakfast is okay and one young waitress is really up to par. She understands....

Very Friendly Hotel in Tambov

This was my first visit to Tambov and i stayed in this hotel for 5 days, as my son is studying his medicine from Tambov Medical University.. The hotel is very good, rooms are spacious, staff are friendly. Language was an issue, but the front office people tried to make things comfortable as much as possible. Google translator was of great help.
Breakfast menu was good and well spread. Lunch and Dinner was a problem, as the hotel restaurant does not serve Indian dishes. Considering so many people from Indian Sub Continent and Middle East are visiting Tambov, this hotel may start an Indian section for attracting more customers. :)
