The bed was comfy .the room had everything we needed even a mini fridge. Breakfast so nice. Front desk staff was not helpful in finding a place for dinner. She wanted us to eat there every meal. I like this small fairly cosy hotel even though it's not too modern, compared to some other new hotels.. (but it's in a historical building!).
I especially like the staff's attitude towards the hotel guests: always very considerate and helpful, so it's always very nice to return and to to feel like at home :)
NB: there is no build-in air-conditioner in the rooms; there are no kettles in the rooms (but I know there will never be any again; so bring your own kettle if you like to drink tea).

on 26/08/2017 15:29Hotel des Alps was in a perfect location for us with 360 deg views of the Swiss Alps. The room was quite good with a great balcony with even greater views (rm 563). However the room does get hot as there is no air conditioning. Breakfast was plentiful and it was lovely to sit across from the water. The staff were friendly and very helpful. A bit pricey but I would stay here again.
nice and clean but unfriendly
Nancy Ton 25/08/2017 15:24Our room was nice enough, certainly modern and clean, but what struck me most about this hotel was how unfriendly the front desk staff was. Every time we would return to the hotel from being out, or just simply come into the lobby from our room, whoever was working at the front wouldn't even look up or acknowledge us. Such a simple thing to do -
to be friendly to your guests and maybe give a little smile - it boggles my mind when hotel staff don't do it.

EUTVLon 23/08/2017 14:24Third time to this hotel and pleased to return and to see some areas having been renovated. Attentive and friendly staff. Good food and reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel for its location, for the train station, access to the old part of town, and closeness to ferry service for boat journeys on the lake.
