Mick Hon 04/08/2017 01:18Really enjoyed the 5 nights we spent at the hotel .We had rooms on the top floor with a balcony over looking the river and mountains. This was good as it had an awning to protect us if it got too hot .Great location as it was close to everything including many restaurants and attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

therealmissprisson 03/08/2017 18:21We loved this hotel. The balcony riverside has the best view ever and the room was beautiful and elegant. Twin beds were perfect as were the feather beds. It was hot in July as there is no air conditioning but windows open seemed to provide a nice breeze and few bugs but we didn't want any so we left them closed and sweated. I am sure they would have provided a fan but we didn't think to ask. The front desk and bell staff are the nicest most accommodating people ever. Any request at all was met with polish and kindness and patience. Lovely restaurant, if not over rated but the breakfast was wonderful and full with our room. The restaurant for dinner is reviewed on the restaurant site. I loved this hotel and would stay again. Parking is best left for the valet. The hotel is hard to get to with the roads and the GPS but easy to see from the river, just a little confusing to find with a car but staff was wonderfully patient, even meeting us at a corner and driving our car to the door. Definitely wished I had stayed longer. Will come back. Everyone from the front door to the restaurant and room staff were so kind. Fantastic!
Good location- very noisy!
pamelasR6579CKon 31/07/2017 10:06To be honest, I considered giving this place a rating of poor but the staff and restaurant were lovely. There is no air conditioning at this hotel and so it requires that you must leave the windows open at night to avoid being too hot.
We had a "city view" and believe me, you'd be served just as well sleeping on the street than in your room. The noise is horrendous and goes on til all hours (Saturday) and so I asked to be moved. We then went to another room on the 4th floor, but it's the same. The garbage truck at 8am compacting trash and glass for 20 minutes may have been my personal favorite.
In fairness there isn't much the staff could do to help me because without ac their hands were pretty tied by the logistics. Nonetheless, never again.
Lucerne's Best Hotel
PhilipWChurchon 26/07/2017 10:11If you want .... to be up market and have excellent service ...this is the place ....... It is central to all Lucerne and its amenities ....A trip on the Lake is a must ... go up to Burgenstock and see the views also take the Pilatus cable car for a great view ..
Wonderful location and breakfast
Julie Won 25/07/2017 18:44We spent 4 nights here in July. Absolutely perfect location with our room looking out over the river. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Train station a very short walk away. Front desk personnel was extremely friendly and very eager to help us with any questions. They provided maps and tips about whatever activity we were planning for the day. Rooms were very nice, comfortable beds, plenty of pillows. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING. Our only issue was the lack of A/C which I know is common here. It was extremely hot but fans were provided and we got nice, cool air from outside at night.
