Really nice place to stay !
Nancy Fon 17/08/2016 17:57We rented a family room (4 persons) for one night in this hotel. And what a lovely surprise for such a tiny village !!!! The room was spacious with 3 beds, a wardrobe and even a dining table and small fridge. There was a kettle with tea, coffe, sugar...in the room. The bathroom was great too with a spa tub ! The beds were comfortable, the hotel is quiet. We also had breakfast and once again, it was perfect with lots of things to choose from, including local pastries. The staff is nice and welcoming, there is a parking area close to the hotel...Really perfect ! Only one regret : we did not stay long enough to enjoy the swimming pool and sauna ;)

Simply superb
Alan Jon 05/09/2015 08:16We have had, on different days, lunch and dinner here. The food is simply superb, well presented, at the right temperature, plentiful and perfectly prepared.
The ambience is lovely, quiet, spacious.
The service is excellent, quiet, caring, knowledgeable
The wine list is just right - across the range - our favourite is the Marcillac, a very local wine
The price and the value for money is simply astonishing - we live near Leeds and also in the Cantal.
In short, perfect.
Upgraded hotel
DELTAKon 25/09/2011 21:04Hotel Des Voyageurs has been considerably refurbished since we last stayed here about 7 years ago.Situated in the centre of the pretty little town of Le Rouget, the hotel has a pleasant bar/cafe terrace,and a small plunge pool in the courtyard.and there is adequate free parking outside the hotel. The standard of decoration in all the public areas and our room was very good.Our room was on the 2nd floor (no lift) and had separate shower room and toilet. The shower was very modern (all jets and nozzles) and we had to get one of the staff to show us how it worked - she eventually got it going. Another problem was with the toilet as it had been installed 12 inches off the wall which meant you banged your head on the toilet door every time you sat on the seat.Despite these minor problems the room was very airy,comfortable and clean, flat screen TV but no English speaking programmes.
We had our evening meal in their very smart restaurant and it was a very good standard- good value - friendly owners and attentive staff.
Friendly hotel in lovely area
Elstonianon 12/12/2007 00:06This hotel is situated in the middle of the pleasant town of Le Rouget. The town is unremarkable, but it is surrounded by lovely rolling countryside, not far from the mountains of the Cantal, and many historic towns and castles.
We have stayed three times, and each time been impressed with the kindness and the welcome from the owners. The rooms have now been redecorated to a high standard for a rural French hotel (they were a little "rustic" before) and the bathrooms renewed.
The food is of a very high standard, and can be amazingly cheap. During the week the set menu of 4 courses is 11 euros.
