Joanna Gon 20/08/2017 12:40Like staying inside a child's sand castle, the fort is utterly gorgeous and the only place to stay is Desert Boy's Guesthouse ..... honey coloured walls, a lovely rooftop and gorgeous views, every corner filled with treasures from the past. And the Desert Boys who run the place are super helpful telling you all the great stuff to do and their camel trip into the desert is something I shall never forget.... not to be missed!!

Beautiful accomodation
Tanya Bon 19/03/2017 18:22Stayed here for two nights with my partner in a standard room, which was surprisingly very nice! (See photos) large clean room and ensuite, very comfortable beds, nicely decorated and hot shower.
The food in the restaurant was great, although it seemed like there was only one man working so sometimes food/drinks took a while. They have a good rooftop area where you can dine. The wifi is only available in here but I wouldn't count on it working!
The staff here were questionable... there never seemed to be anybody around! There were two young boys who were cleaning one morning rather loudly at 6.30am in the rooms either side of ours. As above it seemed there was only one man in the restaurant and other than that we didn't see anybody else.
4 stars because rooms and building were beautiful and clean! Just a shame about lack of staff.

Omri Jon 14/03/2017 17:02BIG MINUS: Desert boys safari price is set according to your nationality. We paid 2300 per person, while another local couple that stayed at the hotel got an offer for the same trip in 1500 each. When we ask why the safari is so expensive compare to other agencies we've been told that we will go 60 km deep in desert and it's completely different experience.
During the trip, other groups doing relatively more or less the same route. Even when we reached to the further point there were some other groups with camels. So most groups going around 60 km into the desert anyway, just sleeping a bit northern or southern from each other.
The trip itself was amazing and the guides were really professional, we visited local villages, drink chai with them. The guide hammit and the camel guy cook dinner for us and really take care of us from start to finish.
Regarding the hotel, as usual there is no one on at the reception so we found ourselves asking all day the cleaners where are the brothers that we can pay for the trip. When one of them come, he asked us "how much my brother told you for the trip" ?!? Trip that he is selling every day !!
Although, the hotel itself is decorated nicely and comfy but, the hot water is not working in the room that we got even if they told us that there is hot water available. When we complain to the other brother took us to the side and said that there was a mistake and there's no hot water in our room so if we would like we can pay extra 200 rupees to move to another room with hot water. Outrage.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful but not functional. If you need something, there's no one to talk to most of the time. The restaurant in the hotel not worth to be mention. The safari tour worth cheaper price, only if you are alone in the tour. If not you can find other agencies/ hotels all around the fort that will be happy to provide you with the same service for 1000-1500 rupees.

Marine Lon 09/03/2017 14:06Deserts boys Guest house is an excellent choice in Jaisalmer Fort. The staff is so kind and helpful. Rooms are amazing with good showers and big beds. Otaro Restaurant on the rooftop is really excellent and you can enjoy your meal outside or inside. The desert safari is maybe more expensive than in other agencies but it is amazing, with village visits, camel ride, excellent home-made dinner and night in the "million stars" hotel ! Whole team is amazing there. Thanks to all of them !
