Four night stay
birdwatching62on 22/07/2017 16:37Second visit to this hotel. On arrival the older chap at reception was bad tempered and unhelpful. We booked a four night stay in February for a twin room. After a long journey this awful man gave us a double room which we refused. After deliberation we were given the attic room, spotlessly clean, huge but boiling hot. All the other staff were very nice. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast vey good. We wouldn't go back due to this horrible man. Take our custom elsewhere.
Pretty good
Gwyn Hon 30/07/2014 18:32Pretty nice place in a quiet area nice staff, breakfast was excellent they even allowed us to park our vehicle in their courtyard. There is a tram stop about 10 minutes walk away that will take you right into the heart of the city. Get off where you see the Woolworth store it must be the only one still in exsistence. There restaurants nearby the hotel.
Clean, spacious and comfortable!
Purzilinion 03/07/2014 23:46Friendly staff, good breakfast and great value. Walking distance from the street car stop, so it's quite easy to make it into the Old Town. It is only a short ride. And there are good restaurants just one block down the street.

CAmunchkinon 02/03/2014 20:49This is a very nice hotel/boardinghouse in a quiet, picturesque part of Heidelberg (Handschuhsheim). The stay there would be much better without the "sportsbar" which creates noise at night in the courtyard. There are not many hotels in quiet locations in Heidelberg to begin with. A little overpriced, since there is no elevator and breakfast is very basic.
Nice but far out
jackdawjenon 02/03/2014 10:40This is a nice hotel - clean, nice choice at breakfast, good rooms. The only problem is that you have to get the tram into the city centre as it is not walkable. I was able to park my car in the yard but I was the last person allowed to do this as once it is full, you have to park on the road outside. The one member of staff on the reception was a bit rude at times. There are restaurants etc near bye and it was nice for a family but not good if you want to be near the action.
