Long walk, but its worth it !!
Keith Bon 26/08/2017 18:38We were staying close by and went to the falls on our way home. Its several hundred steps down (and up) so be prepared. When you get to the first viewing point its lovely, but go the extra mile (not really a mile) and walk to the bottom and look up, its stunning. I wish we had left more time as there were serval walks we could have done, the Red Squirrel Walk, Loch Ness (lower Foyers walk) etc, if you can leave half a day for a visit.
A good place to stop in
Lynda Bon 23/08/2017 22:45While much of rural Scotland seems to have a monopoly on stunning views and waterfalls these are well worth stopping for if you get the chance.
Parking is a small car park next to a café and small shop while the falls themselves are located down a steep pathway that takes you two a couple of view points that give you stunning views of the falls themselves and great photo opportunities!
We were there with two young children (one in a baby carrier), the climb back up is not the easiest but I'll be the first to admit that my fitness level is shockingly bad and I managed fine with the baby in his carrier and a (few) moments to catch my breath.
You are unlikely to spend hours here, even if you stop at the café so is probably best to plan it in with other locations or activities planned.
If you live in vicinity...
david con 21/08/2017 21:22It is very beautiful area, but there are a lot of such places in Scotland.Falls themselves do not play significant role.
Stop for lunch
Piero Con 19/08/2017 13:31These falls are worth stopping for only if you're having lunch at the cafe near them. The hike is a pleasant one, if not very challenging. The food at the cafe is better than the service.
Beautiful
Nick Lon 19/08/2017 08:54Absolutely beautiful...well worth a visit
Need to be fit to tackle the paths but not too overly difficult.
