Wonderful place to stay!
DDUBBIEDOon 01/06/2017 13:14Maria Gloria, Her Husband and Daughter Erica, couldn't be nicer or more caring. The room is in a wonderful location and a five minute walk from the Metro. There is a small market nearby for convenience and it's a two minute walk to the Vatican Museum entrance. Previous complaints stated it was near the noisy road. There are shutters on the window that roll down with the touch of a button and helps to drown out any street noise. I didn't find it anymore noisy than any other city. I was there for 10 full days and nights and the family worked hard to make certain your stay was okay and all your needs were met. Breakfast was perfect with a sweet cornetti and toast, as well as juice and the coffee was delicious! I couldn't ask for more. The bed is comfortable, the room is quite large and very sweet. I will use this wonderful establishment again and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else! Highly recommend. I felt more like visiting family than a guest. Also it was a safe area for a single woman traveler to be out at night in. That is always a plus! I stayed there for 10 full days.

Hannahcoop1on 06/03/2017 11:11Excellent value for money B&B. Much cheaper and more highly rated on Trip Advisor than other options we looked at, especially those closer to the Colosseum.
The staff were helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was lovely - traditional Italian with meat cheese, toast and pastries.
The room was spacious and incredibly clean, with good, basic facilities. Ideal if you, like us, plan on spending very little time in the room. We did find the mattress a little firm but of course that is just personal preference.
The location was excellent - just 500m away from the entrance to the Vatican Museum. However it was still quiet and felt very safe and secure. It's also just a short walk from a street with restaurants and a small supermarket. Taxis to the centre of Rome (Colosseum etc.) are fairly cheap and there is also a Metro station around the corner from the B&B. However we chose to walk into the centre which took about 40 minutes.
I would also recommend using the airport transfer service the B&B offer for a flat rate of 45€ each way - we used this for our flights which were at unsociable hours and found it was much cheaper than taking an Über or taxi, both of which cost around 60€ each way. On arrival the driver was waiting in arrivals with a sign and dropped us right by the door for departures on the way back.
Overall our stay at Difronte Ai Musei Vaticani was excellent. I'd highly recommend it to everybody looking for a good, clean, basic hotel to return to after action-packed days exploring Rome!

Alan Lon 29/10/2016 21:05I have to say the bed and breakfast was perfect the host really nice and helpful the location is also spot on. I stayed in the green room and it was modern and spotless as was the bathroom I would have no problem booking this b and b again for another trip to rome.
Reasonable rate; handy location and friendly staff
Stevie763on 31/05/2016 18:12We arrived in Rome on May 13, 2016 and had reserved a room at this B&B several months prior. We welcomed by Maria Gloria - who was a gracious hostess throughout our 4-night stay. She was able to provide a gluten-free breakfast for my hubby - for which he was grateful.
The B&B is located conveniently to the Vatican. The room was a good size (approx. 12x12 feet) and had a spacious bathroom with shower. Best part of the room was the balcony - it was terrific to relax out there after a long day trekking around Rome. The rooms were cleaned each day and were virtually spotless. It was a wee bit loud in the mornings when MG arrived to prepare breakfast but we slept in and it was good to have this wake-up 'alarm' handy. I would stay here again.
