Very nice stay

Stayed here for 2 nights on a bus tour a clean and comfortable hotel we had a very spacious room, free airport shuttle, complimentary hot breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Local bus runs near the hotel, shops food hall and supermarket very close by. good Wi.Fi.

Filthy Room!

My husband and I checked into our room around 1am, after driving for 7 hours. Before falling into bed I noticed the bed cover had food and dried blood on it, I discarded it on the floor and we fell asleep. While getting ready for breakfast the next morning a noticed a dirty sports bra, not mine, near the foot of the bed in the sheets. So I started looking around. I found a lot of hair on the bathroom floor by the shower and toilet. I took pictures and showed them to the manager. She told us she would personally clean the room herself and refunded us our stay that night. We arrived back late that night after my hockey game and found the bed had been made and carpet vacuumed, except they remade the same dirty sheets and bed cover along with all the hair was still in the bathroom. We let the front desk know and requested a clean room. They couldn't because the hotel was totally full and there was no one to clean it. They gave us clean sheets and said we could change the bedding ourselves. I talked to management the next morning (different manager than Friday) and she also promised that our room would be cleaned. She didn't have the authorization to refund us that nights stay but I could talk to the other manager, Leah, on Monday. Our room did get cleaned on day 2 of our stay. I tried to contact Leah the whole next week and she finally got back to me on Friday after I left a message saying I would be contacting someone higher up. She was rude and refused to refund us for the 2nd night of a dirty room. I sent her time stamped photos showing the mess but she said,"when our driver put the sheets in your room he said it was clean and didn't see any hair." Well I have the time stamped photos that show the hair wasn't cleaned from the bathroom and the same food and dried blood was still on the bed.
After all this I sent a detailed letter including pictures to the the Soldovia Native Corporation, that owns the hotel. I was told the board would read the letter, look over the pictures, and get back with me. I haven't heard a word from anyone even after leaving several messages.
We will never stay there again and I don't recommend anyone else ever stay there!! Who knows who else has slept on the same sheets without being washed.

Comfortable Overnight Stay

We recently stayed here on our way from Fairbanks to Seward. It was a large, very comfortable room. Love the fact that the sink is outside of the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is huge with a large tub, a small vanity and a walk-in shower. Great arrangement and great location. Breakfast was okay. I have to follow a gluten-free diet, so there weren't many options for me, but that is alright as I am not a big breakfast eater. There was fresh fruit and yogurt which suit me fine. The motel is conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Ok stay

Chose this hotel as it was close to where family lives. Hotel was ok, we had some issues and all were dealt with. Issues were requesting a king, first getting two queens, corrected within a few minutes. Second issues was no cable box in the room, corrected quickly. Breakfast was not great, ran out of coffee one morning for over half an hour, eggs got cold very quickly, not very tasty, our last day (stayed 5 nights) the eggs weren't edible. Self serve laundry was very handy, $2.50 wash and $2.00 for 30 minute dry. Location was good for us, close to family and further south so slightly faster on the road to Portage Glacier, Seward, wildlife sanctuary. Not downtown, takes about 15 minutes to get downtown. Not a bad hotel, just ok. We'll probably stay downtown next visit.

Super Nice Room

Their customer service is very good, I saw a deal they had online for memorial weekend and they matched that for me on the phone. The room was big and high quality. We loved the jacuzzi tub. They had a snack room that was reasonably priced and just added that to our room purchase. Only thing I didn't like was breakfast started at 7am instead of the usual 6. We needed to leave early so that was inconvenient for us... and they had no donuts. Despite that, we would love to stay there again.
