We, a family with 3 teenagers stayed at Dioskouroi for a week in mid August 2016. We could not have been more happy with our choice. The hotel and the town was great and the service from George and family was exceptional! We will come back next year for sure.

Staying in a family owned hotel is always better because you meet new people. But when the famliy is as kind and helpful as George and Valia, the trip just can't go less than perfect! Great place for families with young children!

Lovely Guesthouse in the Winter Season

Stayed in this lovely guest house in November 2015, and as advertised, it is located very close to the beach whereby the water is crystal clear, and for the time of year it was very peaceful and quiet.
Although the holiday season was well and truly over, there was a well stocked supermarket, a pharmacy and wine shop open....so you have all the essentials to hand...
Great guest house, location, service, rooms, free wi-fi, Greek buffet breakfast and good value for money.
The family were extremely kind, making you feel part of their family and very welcoming.
I would definitely return as the guest house, price and buffet breakfast were fantastic.

We stayed for 10 days in Dioskouroi hotel in Agia Pelagia in August 2014, and it was one of the best holidays we ever had. George and his lovely family made our holiday wonderful!

ROOM: Our room was spacious, clean and had all we needed. For us it was very important for rooms to be clean and that it is free from ants or bugs, which are quite common in Greece. We have to say we didn't see a single ant in all 10 days we stayed there. Air-condition was for FREE of charge (not something you get often in Greece), but we just used that once or twice, since climate in Crete is wonderful and it is never too hot. Wi-fi Internet was free too, and we got quite good reception in our room. If you like to cook you have all you need (pans, plates, cups).

HOTEL BAR: Highly recommended! We had lunch every day at the bar, and that was by far the best food we ate on the island. Everything is home made, mostly by George's mother, who is an excellent cook! They also have home grown vegetables and fruits. Their orange juice is out of this world, and definitely highly recommended. We booked bed and breakfast, so we also had breakfast with them. Breakfasts were generous, so you will always get plenty of food. On top of everything, food in the bar is actually notably cheaper than in the restaurants down in the village.

POOL: Hotel has an adult and children swimming pool, both of which are clean and they have plenty of beds and umbrellas to use for free. Excellent thing is that children pool is actually on higher level than adult, so you can easily supervise your children while you are swimming. Our 4-year old daughter loved to swim in children pool and later in big pool too. Kids like to spend a lot of time in water so pool was big plus for us, we did not need to spend all day on beach. Also, children swimming pool is somewhat in a shade of the hotel, so it is possible to be there during the hottest part of the day (11-3) without getting sunburns.

LOCATION: It is five minutes walk to the nearest beach in Aggia Pelagia and about ten minutes to another one, small beach out of the village. Both of these beaches are beautiful, the water is crystal clear and pretty calm, so ideal for families with small children. Beds and umbrellas are 2euros each and since they are cheap you need to get there about 9AM to get a place.

HOSTS: With George and his family you really feel very welcome. They always great you with smile and you really feel like a part of their family. They know your names and would do everything to make your stay pleasant. George pick up us from airport and returned there for reasonable price and answered at all our questions about everything we needed there.

We are really grateful to George and his family for making our holiday so nice and remarkable. Our daughter still remembers our holiday, and speaks how she had great time there. We hope that we will come again next year!

This is very nice Cretan family guest house. Spacious rooms, lots of greenery around. George (owner) is really dedicated to his business. You can experience what "customer focus" really means :). If you realize this is Cretan guest house - not a 5 stars metropolitan hotel - you can't be dissapointed. Excellent value for money! Best in class!
