Disappointed with lunch buffet in the day package meant for Families.

5 Adults and 4 kids visited your Kanakapura Resort on 26th Aug 2017 with a half day package.

My feedback :

Facilities are well maintained, found the Rest rooms, Swimming pool very clean.
We all enjoyed the complimentary activities like Shooting and Pottery.
Staff was friendly and courteous, made themselves available on need.

But We were shocked and disappointed with the lunch buffet though. It was a direct
contradiction to what the online reviews suggested about the food.
We opted for Non-Veg for all of us - 5 adults and 2 eight year old kids.
There was no non-veg starter or briyani. We found just two non-veg items - Chilli
Chicken Manjurian, Fish gravy - both of them were too spicy for Adults to taste,
leave alone the kids.

At home, on Sundays, we prepare at least two varieties of non-veg. There were not many
guests at the facility. Even if if the intention was to avoid food wastage,
management had the option to take our inputs and customize the non-veg menu as we were
the only group present for non-veg buffet. But they didn't do.

Lunch disappointment spoiled our mood for rest of the day as we had the guilt
of making a wrong choice and not meeting the basic expectations of our spouses, kids.

I gave the feedback while leaving the resort. The executive at Reception told us that
the regular chef met with a accident and alternate arrangements were done. If we were
informed earlier, We would have appreciated the transparency and settled for veg buffet.
That would have saved us few bucks too.
Given my experience, I doubt if I will recommend Discovery village to my friends and
colleagues.

We had as a family had gone for relaxation time but ended up doing lot more things.There was no time to waste. In short=
Place-Green, well maintained gardens,
Room- on a village hut out side but modern with a/c,
bathroom comfortable beds inside.
Food-Buffet breakfast, lunch & dinner, veg, non-veg.
Excellent spread.great taste.
Staff- courteous, fast service, accommodative.
Activities-This is the best part.You have so much to do.
Pool, zorbing, paint ball, archery, net climbing,
obstacle course, table tennis, badminton &
hammocks for those who want to take it easy.
Warning-Be ready to do more than you expect.
Tip- Carry mosquito spray or Odomos.

Awesome location and the property is very well maintained and we had amazing time.
Food is also very good.
Well maintained rooms and hospitality has been marvelous.
You can enjoy safari which is with in 3kms from the location

This place is just outstanding, Its away from the busy city and is in the midst of a well protected nature. The property is filled with lot of plants and the feel is awesome. They have got tons of in house activities which can keep you busy. The food is excellent, good taste and quality of food is good. The staffs are professionals in their areas and are very helpfull and co-operative. For me this is the best resort in bangalore.

We had a family outing of about 10, and we decided to try this place.

They give welcome drinks in the restaurant area while waiting for check in. It was really nice. Then they helped us take our luggage to our rooms. Each room is really big with 3 twin beds. One can be used as a sitting area/couch. The beds were great. I wish I could take it home! And they had both soft and firm pillows depending on your preference. There is a big wrap around porch with chairs and tables. This was great for our group. The bathrooms are small but adequate. They have bottled water and snacks in the room that are not an extra fee. They ask you to refill your water bottle instead of throwing out more plastic, and they have water stations everywhere. The rooms have a good assortment of books in the room, or you can choose from others in the dining area. The rooms also have both ceiling fan and a/c. It was so nice we only used the fans. Very relaxing place to stay in.

The food was really good. They asked us ahead of time for any dietary requests, and they made special dishes just for our requirements. They have a buffet with soup, salads, roti/phulka, veg and non veg dishes and dessert. Very good quality food made fresh. They have an organic garden on site, so they use produce from there when they can.

The grounds are beautiful. We did not do any of the team building things. We enjoyed a nature tour around the property, which was very informative and a lovely walk. There are hammocks to just lounge and sleep or read. I saw bowling, putt putt golf, pool, fish pond, kiddie pool, and paintball. We did some pottery, which was kinda fun, and got to take home some momentos. We brought our own card and board games, but they have table tennis and carom table set up. So plenty to do besides the team building. We went on a week day, and there was one corporate group. They were quite loud, rude, and boisterous, and they kinda took over the pool. But other than that, it was a quiet and stress free get away. I would suggest asking if there is any planned corporate groups the day you want to book. These young guys are very careless and rude, and they disrupted our enjoyment by there actions. See there is a day free from them if you want some real relaxation.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made suggestions and did their best to give us great service, food, and fun. They were very professional from the time we called til we left!

Overall, we loved the place. I really wish we could have stayed another couple of days. Maybe next time!
