Perfect Location
Obmaroamon 04/08/2017 18:15We stayed at the Hotel Do Parque for seven nights and really couldn't fault it. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh linen and towels provided each time. The breakfast is fairly basic: ham, cheese, croissants and bread, but it was a good way to start the day, and there was plenty of food!
There is a pool at the hotel but we didn't use it, but it looked clean and well kept. There is also a bar in the foyer which didn't seem to have staff manning it, but when we asked for coffee at reception they were more than happy to serve us.
We had a huge surf board bag and the hotel staff were more than happy for us to leave it out the back in a safe place so we wouldn't have to drag it upstairs each evening.
The one down side to this hotel is that the walls are paper thin! We could hear the people next door on either side of us. The could also do with a 'quiet' policy as one family with children didn't seem to care that they were waking people up at all hours!
Very friendly staff and a good spot location-wise.
Nice hotel ... beside the Eiffel Tower Bridge, just as you enter Viana do Castelo
Martha Lon 24/06/2017 13:44Nice hotel just beside the Eiffel Tower Bridge, great stopover for Camino pilgrims, as it is right on the route, and good price too, which includes breakfast. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed, and good bedlinen,
There is also a pool at this property, and a bar. Breakfast was okay, not much variety, and fruit was tinned... which surprised me in Portugal .... Yoghurt, cheese, ham, and bread..
Good value for money.
Good relation quality/prixe
Paula Son 19/12/2016 23:05The room was good and confortável. Is decorated by modern standards. It was a vault, television and hair dryer.
The bathroom was okay but it had only shower, if you like too have a bath in a tub, I don't know if there are rooms.
The view of my room was nothing special but some rooms must have a greater view.
The room seem pretty clean apart from a paper on the floor.
The breakfast was good, but there isn't bacon or other cooked meal, at least in low season.
The staff was outstanding and the hotel let us borrow the park hours after check out.
It's pretty close to the city center so you can arrive in 5-10 minutes in a slow walk.
I didn't use the pool so I can't give you an opinion.
The prices was 35 euros for double room with breakfast and parks.
The building looks awful from the outside but inside is good.
The only problem I had is that I try book it by booking and my debit card was rejected, they say they have a problem with compatibility but gave me a scare because I thought I lost the reservation.
In the end everything work out.
Great value for money
beautiful view of the 6th floor dining room
ElisabethZehavion 29/10/2016 17:40Nice large room. Breakfast somewhat less interesting than the view from the 6th floor dining room.
We were there in October on a rainy day, there is a swimming pool and a bar adjacent, which was closed , probably because of the season. On the other hand we received a discount on our reservation which I presumed was also for seasonal reasons.
Not Worth the Money
fonsecacon 26/08/2016 20:19We stopped by Viana do Castelo to see Romaria de Nossa Senhora de Agonia. We had no idea it would be so busy, so we had a hard time finding a place to stay. I think the hotel took advantage of how much they were charging people because of the town festivities and because we showed up late at night and there were nine of us. It was overpriced for the quality. One of the headboards was dangling, a screen between the bathroom and the room made a lot of noise when we shut the bathroom door, and there was no refrigerator. Our blinds wouldn't close in certain areas and one of the televisions did not work. I could hear people in adjoining rooms turning on the faucet and opening their blinds. The breakfast had cereal, milk, coffee, croissants, and toast. The pool looked nice, but we did not get a chance to use it, and there was a parking lot of no charge.
