Amazing hotel

The staff were super friendly, helpful and nice with us. The hotel offer free coffe during all day... which is super good.
About the room... great city view a big balcony to sit with table and chairs, and one other small terrace too. The bed was big and comfortable, the room had air conditioner. Also had a little fridge to put food and dishes. A big bathroom.
Expensive hotel but worthy of the money you paid. Located in center and you can walk every single sightseeing you want.
Walkable distance from train station or just simply take a bus to reach the hotel.

Nice room, great location...but loud

As with many European hotels, the elevator and lobby are tiny. Maximum three people in the lift crowded in with luggage. There is a small shop off the lobby with wine, beer, softdrinks and snacks.

Moving from the elevator to our room, there were a few steps up and down, which we had to navigate with our heavy bags.

We booked a suite, which included a small bedroom, hallway and living/cooking area with a pull-out sofa bed. When we arrived, the sofa bed was already out and made for our child. This was a nice touch, but made the living area seem very small. We had to squeeze around the sofa bed to walk around.

The kitchenette is in a cabinet with mini-refrigerator, sink and stovetop. There is no microwave. Breakfast was not included with the room. This was a disappointment, as this is common in many European hotels. But there is a nice cafe about 20 paces away from the hotel entrance. The hotel offers a free hot drinks machine on the third floor.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The only major flaw is the noise. The "front" of the hotel is situated on a narrow cobblestone alley, so every sound in the alley reverberates off the stone and echoes into the hotel bedroom. On the other end of the suite, a window overlooks an outdoor hallway covered in tile, so all the sounds in the hall echo into the room.

I'm accustomed to city noise, having living in Los Angeles and New York. But even I was bothered by the noise in this hotel.

Also, we awoke one night at 2 a.m. because our room was so warm. The air conditioner had shut down because the power to our room was out. No a/c, no lights. We eventually fell back to sleep, and power was restored when we woke up at 7:30 a.m.

Location Location Location!!

So pleased we chose the Telegraph Suites to stay in for our four day trip to Rome. The location is superb, extremely central and great for getting to all the major sites. We have visited Rome before, but if we came again, we would definitely chose here to stay again. Not only is the location great, the rooms themselves are great too. Very spacious, modern, lots of storage. Complimentary coffee machine on third floor is a nice added bonus and the little roof terrace is lovely for a sit in the sunshine. You can also purchase drinks and snacks down near reception which is also good to have that option. The reception is staffed 24x7 and everyone we met on the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. All in all - a great hotel in a great location, in a great city!!

Great hotel for the price

The hotel had a great ligation within easy walking distance of most of Roses major attractions (5-10 minutes to the Pantheon & Trevi Fountain, 10-15 to the Colloseum and right on the doorstep of the main museum, you could even walk to the Vatican if so inclined in roughly 25-30 mins).
Check in was smooth and the lady on reception was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Rooms are a great size! We were in suite 1, which was accessible by the lift, the hotel does has have what of an odd design due to the shape of the building, but is easily negotiable. No view to speak of, but given the layout of the city this would be very rare. One negative is that the terrace was not as advertised, it is a small square balcony with 3 tables, located near to the coffee machine. So don't expect waiter service or anything like that, it was still a nice feature as being a smoker it was somewhere to pop out, but really wasn't as advertised. All in all a great hotel and I would highly recommend to anyone. A few general tips about Rome if this is your first time, do not by attraction tickets from anyone apart from at the gate! You will get all sorts trying to say they are from tourist office etc but they charge roughly €40pp to enter Colloseum and the Forum for example, when this is €12pp at the door, please don't waste your money! You will also get a lot of street vendors (to put it politely) using all sorts of tactics again, so don't take anything with is 'free' for example and goods are of poor quality. Also tap water is fine to drink and tastes clean. That's about it, would definitely recommend as a great option, especially for the price.
