What People are saying

Simply outstanding!

This is a jewel of a destination! After six days of the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail we needed a touch of luxury and relaxation . This was the ideal choice from every aspect. The rooms are spacious, the welcome warm and sincere, the food is excellent. Congratulations to the entire staff for maintaining a world quality hotel in a spectacular location.

Wonderful place

Nice little gem close to the river where you'd walk up to in just a few minutes. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff and very complete breakfast especially compared to the average French breakfast. They grow their own fruits and vegetables. Every day cleaning and fresh towels. We booked a family suite with a big terrace and a small kitchen. Perfect for a week in Ardeche.

A good hotel off the beaten track

We stayed one night. The swimming pool, not heated, was pleasant and a good size. Our room was small but fine for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable. We had dinner which was served at 8.00pm with no choice. Service was slow as we did not begin eating until 8.30, a little late for me, but the food was fine. At bit overpriced at 28 euros. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had the pleasure, as an American, to spend more than a few days here...

This hotel is a gem - in an absolutely beautiful setting - not too small & not too big - just right! The rooms are lovely - & the staff is outstanding. Karina, the housekeeper is a lovely, warm person who is top-notch at her job; her care (& Alice's) for the rooms is reflected in the cleanliness & appearance. The breakfast buffet was just right & the dining room in the evening served great menus. Thierry, the host, is excellent in projecting the casual yet caring ambiance of the hotel; & one of his assistants, Alan, made me especially, feel right at home (he is an Englishman who speaks perfect French too) - aside from having a great sense of humor! There is so much to do - & to see in the area. Beautiful centuries-old villages, outdoor markets, the Ardeche Gorge, pre-historic cave that was rediscovered in 1994 - in addition to many outdoor sports for those so inclined. (By the way, Thierry also speaks English - so as an American, I was made to feel welcome.)

The welcome was warm and sincere and the hosts were very helpful. As it was a Monday, and we were the only guests the dining room was not open, but they recommended an excellent alternative in the town. The bedroom was spotless (save for the grouting in the shower). The beds and pillows were very comfortable (rare for rural France). The breakfast, just for us, was generous and of excellent quality. A tranquil place, but do NOT arrive in the dark, as it takes a bit of finding
