Peaceful stopover
Mark Gon 11/08/2017 11:44This hotel is less than 45 mins from Ferry, and is an oasis of peace and calm, great to start or end a continental trip. Old mill, rooms in newer annexe over the small river. Small but well-kept gardens to wander around. Large rooms, comfortable beds and good bathrooms, this is a great alternative to the chain hotels. Restaurant is good quality, staff attentive and friendly. Family-run establishment, good breakfast, excellent value. Recommended.
Peace and quiet and good food.
1NigelTon 31/07/2017 17:11I have seen this mill mentioned many times by travellers and finally had the chance to try it. It is in a good location for cross-channel drivers. Driving into the grounds immediately gave us a feeling of calm and beauty. The residential block is modern and the rooms are a good size. The reception staff are welcoming and quickly explain the layout and keys etc. After a stroll around the ground, we went over to the water-mill which is the restaurant. Upstairs to a bright room overlooking the water. The menu is fairly limited, and as the set menu which was fish did not appeal to us, we took the a la carte. We ate well and agree that the prices are rather high for both food and drink. But we think that the quality and the setting make it worth while. After a good night's sleep, we woke and drew the curtains to be faced with several swans swimming towards us. This was a great start to the day. We certainly enjoyed our overnight here and will be returning. Thanks to all the staff who helped make this go so well.
Worth a Michelin star
peter gon 30/07/2017 23:48A great find in the middle of the French countryside. We were visiting a local wine warehouse, asked for a restaurant for lunch and were pleasantly surprised with this superb establishment.
The service was friendly, the food was well presented and the taste was delicious.
The setting of the old water mill makes a great environment for the hotel and restaurant.
The owner is charming and the staff made us extremely welcome.
The food was presented in good time and with skill.
Little touches made the meal special, such as the amuse bouche-little cones of cream cheese, Roquefort and a walnut on top.
We will return and stay in the hotel next time.

brinenickon 28/07/2017 21:58Only used this hotel as a stop over but enjoyed our stay. Nice location and nice countryside setting. Hotel was very picturesque. Got there too late for the restaurant which also looked really good. Very clean, comfortable room. Nice easy, late check-in. Would like to go back. Great value.
Wonderful place to stay
Danthecoffeemanon 08/07/2017 17:05I stayed for six nights while touring northern France and Belgium for the battlefields. I was travelling alone and was made to feel very welcome by the staff. The restaurant is amazing, the food is top quality! I especially enjoyed having a beer by the river at the end of the day. Will be returning again in the future.
