What People are saying

Lovely place

DelightedLeicesteron 25/04/2017 14:26

I have just stayed there a few days ago with a charitable organisation. The rooms, which have just been refurbished are very comfortable, modern bathrooms, spotlessly clean. The meals were varied tasty and very plentiful. The staff most helpful. I would certainly recommend.

Basic accommodation

The rooms were very clean but basic & in need of updating. Changed my booking from an Ibis hotel in Biarritz as domaine du pignada had a pool, putting etc. Disappointed with the facilities as the pool looked very uninviting & the water level was very low. Although we didn't get the opportunity to use the putting course it didn't look very inspiring!
We didn't sleep well due to lots of water noise from the pipes & cistern.
The breakfast was adequate but, there again, very basic.
Perhaps it was because it was end of August but we got the impression that the whole place was winding down after the summer season.
All in all a bit disappointing but it was cheap.

Overall very good

Stayed here recently as part of a school group on rugby tour. Our boys certainly had a very good time there. The rooms are basic but absolutely fine (very hot when we were there and fans in the rooms would have been a very big plus). The food was, overall, pretty good. Plenty of cereals, bread, meat etc at breakfast (but I do wish places like this wouldn't always have the most basic quality cereals). Lunch, when we had it, was fine, heavy on the pasta, rice etc. The packed lunches they provided on a couple of days were good. The evening meal was similar to lunch. There are shops nearby when hard working rugby players needed a bit extra. The swimming pool was very popular and there is plenty to do in the vicinity (if you have transport). We trained and played at the 4G pitch at Bayonne Rugby Club as well as having days on the beach, surf lessons, visits to water parks etc.

Fantastic stopover

We stopped here overnight en route from Madrid to Poitiers and would definitely stay there again. Although the room was basic and a little old, it was clean and had everything we needed for one night. For us the great advantage was the facilities for the children. After my four boys had spent five hours in the car they were more than ready to make use of the pool, mini golf and football pitch. We even managed a couple of hours at the nearby beach. Compared to the many budget hotels this was excellent value for a family of six.

Would love to stay again

Stayed here very recently on a rugby tour from scotland. Was a very nice place to stay in. Rooms are very basic but that is all that was needed when you are only really using it to sleep in. There was a school group when we were there but it didn't affect us, we all stayed in our own building. The staff were very friendly and often helped with the language breakdown. Only thing that could maybe be improved is the breakfast service. With so many kids there it was a long wait to get food in the morning.
