Lovely relaxing mini break
JseGuernseyon 31/07/2017 08:46Lovely hotel with good facilities. The bedroom was a good size and very comfortable with a good ensuite - the only downside was that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Staff were all very nice and helpful and recommended restaurants to dine at and also made the bookings for us. The gardens were very pretty and the pool was lovely. There was no need for a car once we had arrived as the Abbey and restaurants we visited were all within in walking distance.
Peaceful, comfortable & a convenient location.
Peter Bon 03/06/2017 22:03This is a good spot to base yourself to explore Normandy. Coastal resorts such as Deauville and Honfleur are about an hour or less away and Rouen is closer still.
The hotel is sits in a quiet location and offers good sized rooms, plenty of outside seating space, an attractive terrace and a good sized and well kept swimming pool. Not all rooms are air conditioned and the decor is tired and overdue for a refresh. But it's clean and comfortable. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful but clearly overworked. At any given time there's one person running reception, the bar and trying to cover anything else you might need. And the only food available is breakfast. Beyond that, you're on your own.
Jumierge is charming and the ruined abbey is a striking landmark The town offers a couple of good restaurants, a creperie and all the basics for a two to three day stopover. It's an unexceptional place but a very pleasant addition to an itinerary that aims to cover the northern coastal area of France.

TarnPhillipson 04/10/2016 14:01Jumierges was a discovery. A step back in time with a lovely ferry crossing by the Seine. We really enjoyed visiting the Abbey.
The hotel is very comfortable but a bit over priced. We stayed for one night and had a junior suite which was no better than a standard room at a big chain hotel.
I contacted the hotel via Booking.com to ask for a dinner reservation but this was not acknowledged and when we arrived we had a problem booking dinner (the hotel does not have a restaurant) but eventually they found an excellent restaurant about 1km from the hotel.
Parking arrangements are a little odd. You have to park behind a wall at the top of the slope before you enter the hotel. Breakfast was very good.
Wonderful room, delightful service, beautiful and relaxing garden

The gardens and the pool were very relaxing and pleasant; a must if you want to spend the night in Jumièges! The breakfast buffet was fantastic, excellent pastries, salmon, ham, local cheeses...
Excellent hospitality once again

Although there is no restaurant on site, there is an excellent lounge and bar which doubles as a breakfast room, this overlooks the pool.
