What People are saying

A very good stay in Etretat

brunomU4414OQon 26/07/2017 12:18

Very nice hotel with a nice room. Professional service. Good food at the restaurant. A splendid view over the cliffs from the garden, where you can take an aperitif. I really recommend this hotel for a visit to Etretat.

Lovely stay in a wonderful location

My partner and I visited for our babymoon and to celebrate my thirtieth birthday celebrations.
A pretty and quaint hotel, quite quirky, in a location above the charming town of Etretat.
Wonderful views of the cliff face below and the sea from above. A wonderful pool area which we used one day and enjoyed.
We had breakfast one morning which was good, albeit expensive. Dinner at the restaurant holds one Michelin star and was delicious but again pricey.
Service good, if a bit stuffy.
Would recommend for a lovely break in a very charming part of northern France. About a fifteen minute walk to town which has many good restaurants and delicious creperies.

Killed atmosphere by waiter

What was supposed to be a pleasant festive dinner was totally killed by the waiter.
Excellent hospitality offered by a young lady in the restaurant was not allowed to serve our table. Replace this man immediately to save your good name.

FANTASTIC HOTEL!!

It's a very charming and beautiful hotel!! Impressive rooms, with outstanding decoration. The pool deck is amazing and has a awesome view. Quiet place and it's located up on the mountains. Great tip to stay and enjoy Etretat's charm!!

Exceptional cuisine with a matching price.

We went here for an adult meal, our children being away for the nght, and the general ambiance was excellent. The apéritifs were served with a nice panier of appetizers, including compressed confit of duck and poached oysters. The choice of food is actually small, but it is because each menu element is a little work of art. We chose a menu de dégustation that comprised 6 small dishes, each in the nouvelle cuisine fashion, presented impeccably with a description by the waiting staff at each turn. Sublime flavours, and terrific imagination in the design of each dish. My complaint is not with the food, nor its price, but with the grossly inflated bar prices. Simple spirits were more than €20 a measure, and the wine list was so expensive that we chose to have water with the meal. I appreciate fine food and wine and I understand that quality has to be paid for, but I recognized some of the choices, and I knew their actual price in a good vintners. Had the pricing been better, or if the range had included some modestly priced options, my rating would be excellent.
