Perfect location for Kyrenia harbour

Our second visit to North Cyprus, the last time, 7 years ago, and we were so pleased to see it is still a beautifully unspoilt place to have a holiday. No restaurants advertising English breakfasts or Sunday roasts, just how it should be. The Dome hotel is in the perfect location, only 5 minutes walk to the harbour where there are many great restaurants and bars. The hotel could do with a lick of paint here and there and is showing its age. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and seaview rooms are definitely worth paying the bit extra for. The bathrooms are small but clean with plenty to toiletries. However, this would not put us off returning to the Dome. All the staff were friendly and helpful, even got in some Prosecco for me when they found out it was my favourite drink! Breakfast choice was huge. The pool area is great and we were always able to find sun loungers whatever time of day. There isn't the rush to put your towel down on a sunbed before breakfast here. The hotel was busy but the pool never had more than half a dozen people in it. There is access to the sea which is beautifully clear. Lovely to sit in the evening watching the sunset before a stroll down to the harbour for dinner. A truly relaxing holiday.

Tired old hotel

This hotel really needs a complete renovation with rotten carpets removed and clean tiles put in place. Having been in a lot worse in Kyrenia it is just acceptable with a lot of work done on it. Breakfast was fine but found when paying for meals both in the Dome Restaurant and the Anchor I could only eat one out of the three. A chef should know that salmon fillet means no bones and not when you take a mouthful to have to spit it all out to remove so many bones in it, also chicken should not be dried that you could put it on the soles of your feet as like leather. Also what is the point of a safe if you can pick it up and walk away with it.

4 of us stayed in the Dome for one night. Both rooms were spacious, airy and very clean. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of hot and cold dishes. The pool was good and nice and clean. There is also a seawater pool area with access into the sea. The waterfront location is superb and you handy for the harbour area. All in all a good visit and we would return.

Great location right on the beach front. Great set up with pool, natural sea pool and steps leading down to swimming area in the sea. Great service and good food. Breakfast choice excellent and restaurant does fabulous choice - although the 12 mixed mezes are a meal in themselves.

Wonderful to re-visit after 27 years.

We couldn't recognise very much after all that time as completely refurbished. Wonderful dining room with superb breakfasts. We found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. The best relaxing holiday we've had for years, sunbathing down by the sea pool with waiters looking after our very whim.
