Not quite 5 out of 5
annh2008on 11/08/2017 20:43I came with my partner and our 11 month old son. The hotel was good, the staff were friendly. Breakfast was brilliant, cooked fresh eggs, I didn't have them but my partner did and he really enjoyed them. There was a good choice of other food. The terrace was good with a fridge with a few drinks for us to treat like a bar. The rooms were big. The only faults and the only reason it wasn't 5 out of 5 was there is no tea/coffee making facilities. There isn't an iron. And only a noisy shower, which wouldn't of been a problem apart from travelling with a small child. He found the shower too scary so rather then upsetting him we didn't bath him. But apart from the 3 little things it cannot be faulted. A lovely little hotel.
Quaint boutique hotel centrally situated
welltravelleduson 11/07/2017 23:59Stayed two nights visiting Cologne. Within a five minute walk of both cathedral and the Rhine, as well as restaurants and bars. Railway station at the end of the road. Limited free parking at hotel although local carpark available at additional charge a few hundred yards away. (€15 per 24hrs in car parks). Adequate rooms with en suite and tea/coffee making facilities. Good choice of cooked eggs and ample choice of Cold buffet food for breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Recommend to anyone visiting not wishing to be too far from the centre.
Location and staff are good, room not so much
Mosymooon 01/07/2017 08:54The staff are great and the breakfast was excellent, such a wide selection. The downstairs areas are quite smart, and the whole property felt clean. The location is by the station and we walked through it almost every day going out, though you can get down to the river and under the big bridge.
The bathroom was quite old fashioned. The room was basic. The TV had a lot of channels but the remote was up and down only, so we only found a news channel on the last morning (I know we don't go on hol to watch tv, but there was a lot going on that we wanted to keep eyes on last week). The doors often give a bit of a slam when closing, so some of your neighbours you don't hear, others may wake you up nice and early!
Nice Hotel, Conveniently Located
Acworthtraveleron 30/05/2017 03:55My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station, the Dom, and other museums (all within easy walking distance). The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, with cheeses, meats, cereals, coffee, and eggs prepared to order, was very good. The staff were all very friendly and quite helpful. We would stay there again.
Excellent hotel and location
Ian Mon 23/05/2017 21:10Stayed 2 nights at this hotel when visiting trade fair in Dusseldorf. Only a couple of minutes walk to the railway station and a few more to the old town bars and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel was very clean throughout as was bedroom, although small single, but wifi was excellent and all functional. Breakfast fast worth a special mention - huge choice and fresh omelettes to order. All things considered, excellent value, hotel and location - would definitely try to book for next trip.
