Tranquility
Paul Hon 25/06/2017 16:56We stayed at the Domus in Bagnoli del trigno for 8 nights. A little off the beaten track and you need to have some Italian as very little
English is spoken outside the hotel. The hotel is modern and has a good selection of spa activities. Set overlooking the town of Bagnoli the views are magnificent of the valley and mountains. The setting is very quiet and tranquil with golden eagles 🦅 that are enthralling. The hotel has a very good restaurant that has some amazing food, all local and at very reasonable prices. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the rooms although quite small are comfortable. My only criticism would be the lack of variety for breakfast, we had the ame selection of continental meats, cheeses and pastries each day with no changes which does become very limiting. The restaurant and pizzeria offer some fabulous dishes very reasonably priced but the pizzeria only opens at weekends although there is another locally that is very good
Definitely a return visit booked!
Superb teamwork ensures that this welcoming hotel exceeds guest expectations
chrissi hon 07/10/2015 19:17Not a particularly appealing building but step inside and the warmth of the welcome is outstanding. The views across to the typical little village tumbling down from the medieval -looking Castle are beautiful - much better than theirs of the hotel! Noticeable cleanliness demonstrates a high standard of housekeeping and the bedrooms are well appointed and maintained, comfortable bed! We were only here overnight so didn't have enough time to sample the wellness and gym facilities but I imagine they were probably of a high standard. Terrific place to have any kind of function or a company brainstorm. We did have dinner here and it was well cooked and presented, even though, with so few guests, there wasn't a lot of ambiance. The same applied to breakfast - we felt well looked after. I would think this hotel hasn't been established for very long, so it just needs some good marketing to attract larger groups which will improve profitability and atmosphere. Of course we were here out of 'season' - which was reflected in the amazingly good price - hopefully the hotel is much busier in the summer months. The only quibble is with the Wifi. This is quite possibly a function of its location, in a valley surrounded by mountains and probably a long way from the nearest major signal. However, I would recommend that an expert is brought in to find a way of enhancing the signal which varies from fine to non existent. Important if trying to attract business guests. The personnel absolutely "make" the hotel - so friendly and courteous. I hope this hotel does very well.
Wow! Spectacular Views and Hotel
LeeLee7576on 23/10/2014 20:00We stayed here the beginning of October because of it's proximity to Fossalto (the small town we were wanting to visit to trace the history of my step mom's grandfather). This hotel was excellent!! From the time you pull up and see the breathtaking views to the hotel itself, everything is so beautiful! It had a spa (which even seemed to be the talk of Fossalto residents we met), restaurant, pool, free breakfast, bar area where you could order drinks, gelato, pastries, etc. The rooms were very nice and clean. The rooms had 3 single beds, a huge bathroom, a balcony and a sitting area. The views from our balconies were breathtaking! The hotel is only a few yrs old. Stefano, who worked front desk, and the bar area that night, was awesome! He's very kind and helpful. He definitely made our stay more enjoyable. We would love to go back to visit other areas nearby. This is not a place you think to visit when you think of Italy, but this was one of our best stays of our entire vacation!! We loved it here and would highly recommend.
A Little Piece of Heaven
brileyTNon 21/10/2014 23:38I recently stayed here with my 2 sisters and step mom while on a 16 day trip to Italy. We stayed here because of it's proximity to Fossalto (the village my step mom's grandfather was from and she was going there to trace her family history). I have to say that this is one of the nicest places we stayed in....it had everything and the service was great. It had a spa, restaurant, pool, free breakfast, bar area where you could order drinks, gelato, pastries, etc. The rooms were very nice and the grounds were spectacular. The views from our balconies were breathtaking! It was a very clean place and only a few yrs old(i think 4). The gentleman that checked us in, Stefano, was very kind and helpful. He offered to call and help us with any place we wanted to visit. His kindness definitely made our stay more enjoyable. We only visited Fossalto but would love to go back to visit other areas nearby. We loved it here and would highly recommend. The rooms had 3 single beds, a huge bathroom, a balcony and a sitting area.
our wedding in Bagnoli
Elaine Con 18/10/2014 05:00my husband proposed to me in 2012 in Bagnoli del Trigno, we stayed 2 nights at Domus Hotel and we loved our visit there. We then decided to get married in Bagnoli, having Domus in mind, to host our reception. We are so appreciative of all the warm welcome we've received and all their work in preparation for our wedding. Thank you
