Wonderful Location!!!
Bill Son 15/06/2015 18:02Ciro's place is small, quiet, reasonably priced and out of the center of the tourist madness that is and has always been Rome. It is in a residential neighborhood with lots of trees, wide boulevards and restaurants for the locals. At the same time, you are a quick bus ride (or metro, if you prefer) from anywhere you want to be in the city. After a day in the Vatican, Forum, Circus Maximus, etc., it's very, very nice to go "home" away from all the tourist noise!
The rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms are great! The center of the building is a lovely courtyard that is quiet and peaceful. Great place to sit with a book for an hour in the heat of the day. Breakfast is just OK, but that's generally true of Italy anywhere. Ciro did run across the street to the Vanni (different review) for good sweet pastries for us in the morning.
We would stay with Ciro again. He is helpful when asked and a genuinely nice guy.
3 Nights stay in Rome
Volodymyr Uon 20/11/2014 14:45My girlfriend and I were visiting Rome in October and decided to stay in Mazzini hotel. It was recommended to us by friend of mine.
Hotel has really good location! It is not far to Vatican and city center. One of the metro stations is 5-7 min walking from the hotel.
Also neighborhood is very quite and very... Italian :)
I can't judge about breakfast, usually I prefer to have sandwich, yogurt and muesli. So, on my opinion everything was perfect.
I would definitely recommend to consider this place as an option for your stay in Rome! You will really enjoy your stay in this hotel.
Absolutely wonderful
mhbrierwoodon 18/06/2014 19:15A wonderful room overlooking a quiet garden courtyard, in a gorgeous part of Rome just north of the tourist madness that is the Vatican. But the room (spacious and immaculately clean) and bed (very comfortable) and location are just a few of the things my wife and I loved about this place. The host of the place, Ciro, is also a real treat—funny, charming, helpful (speaks perfect English). And meeting the other guests at breakfast (all of whom were Italian when we were there) was very special.

Breakfast was tasty, especially the specially prepared Easter Breakfast and the staff were very helpful. In a nice location, quiet and safe with restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean and tidy and facilities were excellent.
A lovely weekend in Rome
Elisa Don 19/04/2014 08:28Perfect for visiting Rome. Calm district, beautiful sorrounding, close to the Vatican, to Piazza del Popolo and to the Olympic and Flaminio Stadiums. No parking problems if you are travelling by car, you'll find free parking lots in the streets around. And the metro is also very close.
Very clean rooms. The B&B is run by very lovely and kind people.
I really recommend it!
