We love Pat and Mary!

abelle_14_14on 23/08/2017 22:52

We loved our stay here during our trip to Ireland! Pat Sweeny's Cliffs of Moher walk was highly recommended to us, so we decided to stay at his B&B the night before the walk. (You MUST do his walk of the cliffs if you're in Doolin) Everyone at Doonagore Farmhouse was so sweet and so accommodating! Mary's breakfast was delicious and I was so happy that I was able to get a vegetarian version of the famous Irish breakfast. If you're seeing the Cliffs of Moher, you should definitely stay here!

Ireland Vacation

What a great b& b. Nice rooms, good size shower, quiet. Very friendly people. They told us all about their cattle operation. From cutting grass for winter feed to how they move the cows from field to field. It was very interesting. Breakfast was great and we even put some laundry out on the clothes line to dry while we went to town for the evening. A rain came up and we thought our clothes would be soaked. But when we arrived back at the farm house the lady there had taken the cloths down, drying them in her dryer and absolutely wouldn't take a dime fore doing it. Very accommodating people. Highly recommend this one

Good place to rest!

I have just came back from Claire. I was touring with my son around Moher this weekend. By chance I managed to have a very late check in in that B&B. The twin room was not very big (it was the last available so I was not expecting anything special to be left) but it was very clean. Being in so many different B&Bs I did not have huge expectations towards beds. But this was the first B&B I had no problem with sleeping and the mattresses were so comfortable that we were able to relax and re-charge batteries for next day of touring!! All rooms are ensuited.

Perfect spot after a day hiking the cliffs

Pat, Mary, and Declan were the perfect hosts, the location a perfect spot, and excellent room. Daisy (the Border Collie) greeted us and foreshadowed the welcome we received from the Sweenys. They recommended the Ivy Cottage, which had absolutely the best Cod fish and chips we've ever had. Lovely stay at every level

A really nice place to stay

We spent two nights at the B & B farmhouse. Everything was perfect and the hosts really nice.
The views from the B & B over the bay to Doolin and surrounds were special. The farmhouse was well situated away from the summer tourist crowds but still close enough to everything. We used the Park and Ride service just up the road as a drop off and pick up to avoid the crowded parking at the Cliffs.
Although we did not go on a guided walk with the host who is a recognised guide for the Cliffs of Moher, this was available as well.
