Icicle In June
Monica Jon 08/06/2017 11:30Visiting family so have stayed here several times but this will be the last. Hotel is showing desperate signs of needing renovations. This trip is with members from Hong Kong and would have booked another hotel had I known there would be no heat in the rooms. Either the air conditioning is on or heat, you can't pick and they have chosen air conditioning. Being an unusually cold start to June my room is freezing and I sometimes prop the door open to get warmth from the hallway. Calling hotel services results in listening to the phone ring endlessly even at 5:30 am. I'm too cold to get out of bed, dress and walk down to front desk. Brrrrrr!
PAST ITS PRIME
WolverineFlon 02/06/2017 21:40I had stayed here before a number of years ago and had attended meetings at this venue. Spent a night here recently and found the place to be dated, tired and unwelcoming. When I opened the door to my room I felt as if I had just checked into a roadside Motel, off white bare walls, poorly furnished with all the warmth and charm of a cardboard box. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and there were dust balls blowing around in the bathroom. Had breakfast in the dining room which offered a buffet with a limited selection of average food, service was good. This is really a large place and unfortunately, has not been kept or updated.
Ok for a Short Stay
honestmiguelon 25/05/2017 04:08This was my second visit in the past two years. The staff is super nice and accommodating, the dining venues are ok, nothing special. The first room we had looked like a monks cell, very sparsely furnished. They switched us to a much better room, so beware not all rooms are the same. Close to Westchester airport with a free shuttle. Don't think the Rye Hilton is much better, limited choices for that area.
dissapointing-apparently new management since our last stay
tcohen2016on 25/05/2017 01:01we had no hot water for showers-staff was not attentive to our needs and management made no adjustment when we requested some form of consideration. we had staid there before and were very please. the rooms are not as nice as our previous stay nor was the service. the restaurant we used was o. we left after one night and moved to another hotel in ct just across the state line.
Seen Better Days
nonnalynnon 23/05/2017 17:47Needs updating but it was clean and comfortable. They need to do something about their dining services. Avoid the Pub at all costs. Atrium dining experience was iffy at best. There are so many events going on at the same time and it seems that their main business interests may reside in these rather than the hotel guests.
