Very close to the airport
BELINDABitolaon 27/07/2017 19:35Very close to the airport--i.e. planes flying overhead--they do stop at night.
I think the hotel is really nice, it is very simple and the rooms are big enough. The Metro station is a 5 min walk away from the hotel, and the hotel is surrounded by many restaurants. Excellent breakfast--lots of the usual breads, meats, cheeses, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Zenaido Ton 26/09/2015 04:19This hotel was included on the tour we bought. It is clean with good service and about 4 blocks from 2 subway stations. It is not a centric one but if you do not mind to use the subway you will be ok!
HOTEL closing 30 April 2015!!
Wisconsin2travelerson 25/04/2015 02:18Please note that this hotel is closing on 30 April 2015. We stayed here in April, but were told both by the Tegel Airport staff, and confirmed by the hotel staff, that the hotel was being converted to student housing and would be closing on 30 April 2015.
Reasonably priced near Tegel in a safe neighborhood.
YumGuruon 23/03/2015 15:54You can catch a bus from Tegel and be a block away from this hotel (route #1). The restauarant inside the hotel was for some reason closed when I arrived on Sunday. Perhaps it is closed on every sunday. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were clean and quiet. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. It was a relatively cheap rate close to the airport.
Basic airport hotel
James Oon 15/03/2015 12:28Stayed here for one night. It's a basic airport hotel - it does what it says on the tin. I wouldn't recommend you to pick here for anything other than an airport hotel stay.
That said, the room was clean albeit dated. The bathroom was ok - could have done with a deep clean in corners between tiles to remove grime.
The staff appeared friendly and obliging. I did not try the local restaurant/bar and did not have breakfast there either so cannot comment on that.
Oh - and of you can't fall asleep to the sound of aircraft, then you may need to reconsider your options. The aircraft pass over the hotel and quite frequently. Depending on which runway is in use they will either be at 300ft above your head on approach or a couple of hundred feet higher on departure. Due to noise regulations it should stop between 2300-0000 and resume around 0600.
