Smart, modern hotel in quiet residential area
girafficon 16/07/2017 22:05The hotel was modern, clean, and smart and the room a good size room. Breakfast had a good choice of items, though the egg offering was a bit poor with just scrambled egg that was beginning to dry out. The hotel was full the weekend we stayed so breakfast was a bit of a scrum. Though sitting outside on the terrace was lovely.
My main issue was the duvet - it was incredibly hot, and definitely not a 'summer use' duvet. In the end we had to ask THREE times whether they had a lighter duvet, or a blanket we could use instead. There was absolutely no communication from the hotel/housekeeping about whether this was possible. So on the third evening I was sick of asking and we had to complain to the woman on the front desk who ended leaving the front desk unmanned and running round the hoteltrying to find another duvet/blanket. She did her best, but it really wasn't her responsibility to take care of this matter, and we were left feeling annoyed. Really - no blanket in a hotel?! Arctic condition duvets for the summer?! Not impressed.
Although the hotel isn't particularly central, it's in a lovely residential area which is not too far from the local train station, from which it is easy to get to central Hamburg with the frequent train service.
Nice, modern Hotel with good breakfast.

But our first room was next to renovating area. So it was noisy during the day. But after talking with the reception we got a room at the 5th level and that was quiet and good view.

Hardegunon 11/07/2017 16:29Nice hotel a walking distance away from the toen centre. Very quite atmosphere with nature friendly atmosphere. Staff were friendly, but rooms were not well cleaned. Food wasn't excellent but above average.
Clean and functional business Hotel
bax52on 04/07/2017 16:06Nice enough, clean and functional business Hotel. No issues and a good nights sleep. Liked being able to open the window and turn off the aircon. Locations a bit away from town and didn't seem much around in the area.

For this level of a hotel it was just is it is ought to be. Spacious and clean rooms (though missing hair conditioner), complimentary good quality water, fine beds. Friendly and efficient reception, good quality breakfast with great variety of food.
Though I am used to more luxurious hotels this one was not a substantial downshift from my habits.
Decent place for a nightover and a top rank from me for this level of the hotel.
