My go to train station hotel --- 5 min walk from train, budget friendly

This is the best place to stay near the train station if you are looking for an early morning departure and want to stay near the train. The rooms are modern, clean, and simple. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and a great value. It is walking distance from old town where you can get traditional German cuisine. I recommend this for business travelers or families who want a place near the train station. This is a no frills budget friendly hotel.
Very comfortable
Derek Hon 13/04/2014 17:28We visited twice on successive Saturdays with a coach tour, staying just one night. Food was very good, although there was more choice on the first occasion for the evening meal. On the second occasion we were given a set menu. Breakfast selection is excellent. Rooms have facilities for making hot drinks and wifi access is available.

Football Trip to Kaiserslautern
NealG561on 22/10/2013 21:31This Hotel is ideally located for a visit to watch FC Kaiserslautern, which is only a short walk away. The main town centre is a 15 minute walk away. Hotel has good parking facilities. Room are a good modern standard with good bathrooms also. All in all well presented and comfortable
Pretty poor for a Dorint...
Christopher Lee Ton 17/09/2013 07:23The floor is old and worn, the light in the bath room needs a new bulb, there is no air conditioning, internet is provided via a third party and most likely costs extra (used the available T-Mobile HotSpot I am already paying for instead) and the water pressure in the shower gets you barely wet. I go for breakfast now but I doubt it will be that good that I return to this hotel again.
