Alison Fon 09/05/2017 22:19We stayed here for three nights while visiting relatives. It's a beautiful old hotel set in the peaceful grounds of the Bürgerpark. The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient, our bags were taken to our room - a route that was a fair distance involving a couple of lifts - and the unusual door key system carefully explained. The room was lovely with a view of the park, comfortable beds and a spacious and luxurious bathroom with plenty of hot water. No tea-making facilities but these are quickly provided if asked for. By the next day we'd already forgotten how to work the door key but a staff member cheerfully explained it all again. You can walk into town but there is also a tram stop nearby, about 10 minutes walk across the park at the end of Wachmannstrasse. We would have loved to try the spa facilities and the restaurant but didn't have time. We'd definitely stay here again when visiting Bremen.

anywherewarm123on 04/05/2017 22:55During a medical stay we were booked into this hotel. The hotel is very large and very grand. The service provided from the staff was good. They were accommodating when we requested a room change due to noise from the kitchen underneath our room. Not all rooms have a bath tub so you will need to request if you would like one. The rooms were large, comfy and clean. My only complaint would be the beds were very firm but we requested an extra blanket under the fitted sheet and it worked well. The breakfast was free and it was very good with lots of choices. The dinner menu/room service was expensive so if you are able to leave the hotel its walking distance to the train station that has lots of restaurants and convenient store items. Also free wifi but only a couple English speaking tv channels.

Ok bed. Expensive breakfast. Its about time to throw out the wall to wall carpets in the rooms..

Nuch Non 04/03/2017 17:49From the moment that i checked in, the staff was very friendly and helpfull. The front office manager (D.Jacobs) helped us with our luggage and showed us the facilities from the hotel brought us to our room. Very nice.
Actually all the staff of this hotel gave very good service and warm welcome.
The hotel is in the good area with a big park. The hotel has a nice sauna and pool.
The breakfast was very good with alot of choice.
Thank you for this great experience and hope to go back again soon.

Could be great, but the detail is lacking
TravelingCelton 13/02/2017 12:50First the good points. Our "superior room" located in the east wing of the hotel was roomy and comfortable. The hotel gym was the best I have ever come across, with lots of modern equipment. The food at dinner was excellent, albeit expensive. The hotel is located in a beautiful park and the public areas of the hotel are spacious and attractive. Reception was efficient and their were plenty of porters around.
So why only 3 stars? Service in general was patchy. Getting served for lunch took some time, although it finally worked out well. Service at dinner was really poor: I particularly didn't like one senior waiter snapping at a more junior colleague who had made a mistake with our wine order. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, which is something I really missed and by itself would stop me returning to the hotel.
The "World of Water" was a bit disappointing, especially since it was one of the reasons we choose this hotel. The jaccuzi, didn't seem to be working and the facility was rather crowded, even though the hotel itself did not seem busy. It really needs to be expanded. A few more hooks and somewhere to get large towels would help in the short term. While not the fault of the hotel, some guests didn't seem to know how to behave in a Spa. So perhaps some larger notices up with the basic rules are needed, or perhaps the receptionist could remind guests on the way in.
