Wowww beyond my expectation
Amandatwhon 29/09/2016 15:10I didn't expect much from this Inn because it's an overnight stay before I leave to Tokyo tomorrow morning. But I'm already so impressed with it! It's got nice onsen which I think is nicer than some chain hotel. Also, I've never come across hotel stay that gives free ramen from 9.30-11pm? Absolutely stunned by their gesture and it tasted really good especially after late night drinking n it's cold outside, maybe it's free and I'm bias? Indeed value for money and couldn't ask for more.
Fantastic value for money, our second Dormy Inn in a week!
MDC115on 28/07/2016 14:01We travelled round Hokkaido for 8 days in a rented car and saw much of the island. It was our first time in Japan and we were really struck by how expensive hotels seemed to be while delivering very average quality product. That was until we stepped into the Dormy Inn! What a find! It seems to be a local Japanese brand of hotels. We stayed in two different Dormy Inns, one in Obihiro and the other in Abashiri. Both had fantastic and efficient service, free Ramen dinner time snacking, excellent hot spas (onsen) (we only used the female one but in both hotels they were great!), free and fast wifi, rooms are equipped with every amenity you could want and are so well planned to maximise space efficiency. Beds are so comfy that my friend, who is a chiropractor, was seriously considering buying one of their pillows to take home with her, and she sells pillows at her practice! Personally, I fell in love with Dormy Inn's Royal Jelly collection of shower toiletries and wanted to buy some but unfortunately couldn't find them anywhere on the high street (which in hindsight wasn't very surprising). The breakfast buffet is diverse and endless. They have automated tower parking which is great fun to watch take and deliver your car. I honestly cannot rave about this place enough, we loved, loved, loved it and regretted that we hadn't booked a Dormy Inn in every town/city that we visited over the 8 days. They've got a customer for life here.
Excellent and value for money hotel
Terry Ton 18/07/2015 04:14I stayed here for a night and found this hotel to be really good. Bed, toilet and the onsen facilities are all top-rated in my opinion. Yup, don't expect the room to be spacious - typical Japanese hotel. The breakfast and the free of charge ramen from 930-1100pm nightly are just 2 additional plus points of this hotel. Location wise is superb, in the middle of the city and within walking distance to most of the restaurants and stores.
Obihiro is small lovely city. I don't mind to stay therefor 2 nights to relax.

The room was small but practical. It was clean. The Onsen was very good. Breakfast buffet was traditional Japanese. It was very good and tasty. A egg station is also available. Free and strong Wifi everywhere in the hotel. No password needed.
A class above a standard budget hotel
ichibanwandereron 08/10/2014 11:20While the desk was small, I could not fault anything else with this hotel. It has a good size public bath with everything self contained ( towels etc all supplied). The service throughout was excellent and breakfast was more than adequate.
You may pay a little more than a standard budget hotel but definitely worth every penny
