Everything is fine except check-in
ericyhoron 18/06/2017 08:56I booked the room through hotel's website and present the confirmation email with booking details, I suppose the check-in process would be very smooth. To my surprise, the front desk staff asked if I have made two booking through different name. The question is totally nonsense. What is the purpose for doing so? As such it takes a long time to complete the check-in process.
Other than this, everything is fine, the breakfast, late-night noodles and public bath are all good.
When I leave the hotel, the front desk staff proactively asked if I need to take their suttle bus and the driver is very helpful.
Convenient n Complete for the Budget Traveler
Linda Hon 10/05/2017 01:33Stayed four nights in May. Very good location. My double room was small but complete with amenities and yukaza and slippers. Most guests take their daily shower in the indoor onsen. Hence be prepared for crowded onsen experience. Many Chinese and Korean guests. I like the location, close to two stations, easy access to Namba station for access to Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. Daily breakfast buffets are nice, and the ramen supper a warm welcome to the hungry before bedtime. Overall, smallish rooms so do not bring too large luggages as you won't find space to store or place your luggages.
From KIX Airport, direct limo bus to OCAT station, then taxi to hotel. Or take a subway to either Nimponbashi or Nagahoribashi. Walk from there. I mostly walk from Nimponbashi station, passing by Dotomburi. Also easy walk from hotel to Kuromon Market and Sennichimae Shopping Street.
Convenient Location
stephen son 28/04/2017 05:04For the most, staff was polite. But had one staff member that had a bad attitude when simply asking for a bigger pajama because the one in the room was to small. Location was very convenient. One thing that my wife mentioned about the Ladies side of the Onsen. When what seems to be Chinese & Korean guest, when they go to take a bath in the onsen, they leaves their towels, keys, belongings, to block/save their shower stalls, so nobody else can use it while they are taking a bath. It would be greatly appreciated if the hotel side can put signage or inform the guests to not save or block shower stalls while they are taking a bath in the Daiyokujo or Onsen bath so other guest can use the shower stalls when not being utilized.
Great location with awesome amenities!
Amanda Bon 27/04/2017 16:12We stayed in this hotel for 5 days in April 2017. It was in a very convenient location - about a 5 minute walk from Dotonbori and close to lots of shopping options and restaurants. There was a 24 hour grocery store 2 blocks down the street (Foodium) and a Family Mart right below the hotel.
We booked a queen bed room and were not disappointed. The size of the room was decently spacious (able to fit 2 large suitcases). The bed was large and very comfortable. Pillows were a bit firm and the in room shower was quite small, however, I did not use the in-room shower since I spent every night at the onsen and used the shower facilities there.
The best part about the Dormy Inn was of course, the onsen! It was great to wind down each night and relax after a long day of sightseeing across Osaka. The onsen can get a little crowded at night but I was still able to get my own locker and shower each night so it was not too bad. There is coin laundry available in both the men's and women's onsens as well.
Free breakfast had a great selection of both Japanese and Western food and free ramen offered from 9pm - 11 pm was very good. They offer a free shuttle every hour to Namba Station on a first come, first serve basis. Staff were friendly and most spoke English well. Overall I would recommend this hotel to those who are visiting Osaka and would definitely stay here again!
Great onsen
Will Kon 30/03/2017 16:30Very clean comfortable hotel; added perks are the very good onsen and tasty evening ramen noodle bar. The breakfast was above average -good selection of basic foods but nothing outstanding. One issue that we encountered was a trouble with the location, after plugging the hotel name into a map app we were directed to another Dormy Inn Premium (make sure you add Namba to avoid our mistake). Also the nearest subway stop is approximately 1 km away
