Convenience with Hot Spring in Downtown
22CHAN135on 23/06/2017 09:31I stayed at Dormy Inn at Nagoya before, so I chose Dormy Inn again at Sapporo. There are 2 Dormy Inn at Sapporo and both are just faced each other. I chose PERMIUM as it is dearer and I expected a better service and facilities.
Yes, PERMIUM is much better than the ANNEX. PERMIUM has its own car park and restaurant. So all ANNEX guests should walk to use the facilities at PERIMUM.
As same as other Dormy Inn, all facilities are good quality, such as hot spring, breakfast and it provides a free noodle from 21:30 to 23:00. Even you come back after 23:00, you may get a instant noodle from front desk.
Also, it is extremely convenient. Both Dormy INN are located at Tanukikoji (the walking shopping street). The district is connected to JR station by underground pathway. 24 hours duty free shop is available at Tanukikoji. And brand name shops are located at the JR station.
great hotel for a good price
shlomoschwartzon 02/06/2017 03:54We stayed there for 2 nights in the last week of May 2017.
The hotel was new, staff were welcoming and friendly. although rooms are on the small side (normal for budget hotels in Japan), it was a bit larger than similar concept hotel room in Tokyo, and the layout was smarter.
Breakfast is a highlight!! great food, lots of fresh fish and many western options.
Location is great, right in the heart of the city center/main pedestrian street and around the block from the airport bus stop.
Highly recommended.
Good room, great location, good onsen
GeoffCh2015on 01/05/2017 00:49Dormy Inn is one of the best chain hotels in the mid price range, all with decent public baths. We had a deluxe twin room with a third fold out bed, larger than average although little work space. Good access for Suskino, underground and the subterranean city. Our room had a massage chair - the on/off button is top left and the full body massage button is top of the left full vertical brown column (all in Japanese). Practically chucks you out of the seat at one point - serious massage. Quiet.
Dormy Inn never lets you down
James Kon 01/03/2017 02:33We stayed here for one night as part of our longer Hokkaido trip and like all the other Dormy Inns that I've stayed in, it was a lovely hotel with good rooms, service, and facilities. Dormy Inn haven't disappointed yet.
The room is somewhat bigger than most Japanese hotel rooms and provided ample space for two people and their belongings. It was spotlessly clean and all around extremely pleasant to stay in. It came equipped with standard hotel amenities and a shower and toilet in addition to public facilities. Perhaps the only issue was that the WiFi was a little slow, although it was still usable.
In terms of facilities, the onsen is a little smaller than some of the other Dormy Inns but it's still quite nice and is an appreciated feature in a hotel like this. The breakfast venue offered great choice and there was no wait time to get it - it was a very nice breakfast to have and although on the expensive side (¥1500 if I remember correctly) it was worth the price. It's quite nice having eggs made to order by a chef, for example.
The location was close to Sapporo's Susukino district - well located for exploring Sapporo (close to the streetcar and subway) but not too close to the station so I'd recommend getting a taxi (about ¥1200). Susukino has lots of bars, restaurants and izakaya, though, so in my view this is well worth it.
All in all this was another excellent stay in a hotel chain that has never let me down.
