A nice stay in Toyama
Sandylcson 02/08/2017 11:54This is a good place to stay if you are planning to Tateyama, just about 45mins by car and also hotel shuttle is provided in early morning to Toyama train station. Everything is good and value for money: nice public onsen, late night free soba, yummy breakfast buffet, complementary good coffee at the lobby....
Hotel parking is limited, but there's a multi-storey car park just next to the hotel and overnight parking fee is reasonable.
Be aware there's two buildings of this hotel, do trust your GPS in-car and you can reach the right destination.
The only drawback is the bedside control panel...too BRIGHT the indicators and I need to cover it with pillow while sleeping!

rasillonon 03/06/2017 02:44Typical Dormy Inn: Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, very good Yonaki Soba (21:30 - 23:00), awesome breakfast buffet, great WiFi, refrigerator and air conditioning work well, the bed in our semi double room was a tad on the small side.
This is the first Dormy Inn we've seen with the ofuro on the second floor. The ofuro has natural hot spring water, is clean, and is enjoyable.
The hotel is near but not close to the train station and provides a shuttle from the hotel to the station. I'm not sure if there is a shuttle from the station to the hotel.

The hotel is new and comfy. The staff could speak good English. There is complementary welcome drink (coffee). There is also a free public onsen, and the hotel offer free noodle at around 9pm.
Room
The room size is larger than expected, and very new and clean. There are lots of sockets around the room/bed. There are places to hang your clothes.
Location
I took a bus from Kanazawa to Toyama and there is a bus station right outside the hotel.
It took me around 20mins to walk to the JR Toyama Station. The hotel receptionist did give me some complementary bus ticket from hotel to the JR Station which I did not use as it does not match my schedule.
Side issue
I thought the hotel could assist in arranging courier service for my luggage as I was heading to the Alpine route the next day, but in fact the hotel doesn't / no longer provide this service.
Overall it has been a pleasant stay. Good for value
Good service, tidy room, enjoyable bath
amigocheeron 21/04/2017 12:44Room is small but tidy. The onsen baths are nice, and I enjoyed the bath for individual. I appreciate the provision of Udon in the evening. The location of the hotel is a bit far from Toyama station, about a 15-min walk. The hotel provides shuttle bus to Toyama station in every morning.

meegs1982on 16/02/2017 12:05I really loved the extra touches when it came to service with this hotel! I arrived before check in, so the desk staff arranged for my baggage to be taken to my room. I didn't use the complimentary spa or eat the midnight noodles (no vegetarian option :( ), but being a long-term traveller the free use of washing machines was the best!!! Room was really nice. Lots of hanging space. I usually don't bother but I actually used the pajamas!
