Hotel Near Beach
stewart sandra eon 15/06/2017 06:44Have stayed at this Hotel several times in the past due to its location. short walk to beach promenade and a few minutes to town centre, also in walking distance to football ground.
We have always enjoyed staying here and found the staff to be very friendly especially in the restaurant. had dinner on second night and can only say service and food excellent.
A few minutes walk to the Lemon Tree venue for gig we were attending.
I only gave three star rating as we found the hotel was in need of refurbishment from the bar area to most of the bedrooms.
We were in room 150 and reported a few concerns to reception. we were offered a room change the following morning but declined as only at hotel for two nights.
We had booked the king superior room and found it a bit shabby but clean, the same room type was shared by other friends staying at hotel for the gig and all said their rooms were in need of upgrade.
The hotel has addressed my concerns and contacted me with an appology for problems with bathroom and hopefully they will be repaired so other guests do not have the same problem.
Will use the hotel again as all hotels have rooms in need of refurbishment, hopefully this hotel will do it sooner than later.

Rooms all spacious. Comfortable bed and lovely bedclothes. Gorgeous pillows for once!
Very good breakfast and again great service. Wide continental choice - best in Scotland so far. And beautifully cooked and served poached eggs.
Location perfect. 5 mins from beautiful beach and 20 mins walk along beach to the old port village "Fittie". Don't miss this!
Very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Would definitely book again!
Nicole Hon 13/06/2017 01:01I don't usually like staying in Chain Hotels ... but this one exceeded my expectations, we were definitely treated as guests, not numbers. Very personal, wonderful service. Room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding with so much choice!
Beautiful spot - easy walk into town ... and perfect for the beach.

Adequate overall, with some good bits
Rex06on 11/06/2017 06:26After a long drive from Helmsley in Yorkshire, we arrived with lots of luggage. I pressed the assistance required button at the front door and went and parked the car, expecting that a Porter would have taken the four cases inside by the time I returned. Bad Luck! No such service. We carried the cases in ourselves and went to reception where the experience wasn't much better.
Fortunately, matters improved after that. Our standard room was of adequate size and clean and the buffet breakfast was excellent. We ate in the conservatory which was bright and airy and the staff serving us with items available, but not in the Buffet were excellent and personable. perhaps they could give lessons to the Receptionists.
The hotel is a little out of the central part of the city, about 10 minutes walk, and has a pleasant outlook towards the sea.

travel_angel93on 07/06/2017 18:28the hotel is stylish we paid little bit more to stay in the premier bit but believe me -its worth it. you have your own breakfast and dinner area or you can can still use the other one. alot have seaveiws and styled so nice. the location could not be better just a walk to beach. fantastic hotel amazing food and staff. highly reccommend
