Nice Downtown Hotel

Not the best Hotel to get the return on your money
arizona19on 16/08/2017 20:33There alarm system in the hall ways came on about 4 times in the middle of the night, and there was a lot of people talking in the hall could be heard through the walls, Main entrance door was broken and s the Lobby air conditioning... great down town location but that is it.
Worst hotel ever

Reception room had no air conditioning the majority of the night, fire alarm kept going off and we were told false alarm then asked to evacuate twice, no security and an outsider snuck in and tried to steal the card box, construction was going on the following morning and nobody could sleep to banging and drilling, the hotel didn't take the wedding couple their morning breakfast as part of their package and some hotel guests were charged for parking when others weren't. DON'T STAY HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY! The wedding couple deserved so much more.
Sub-par Double Tree
Mar Mon 14/08/2017 14:24I'm a Hilton Honors member and have a lot of experience with Hilton properties. The overall experience during my 2 night stay at this Double Tree was poor. First of all this hotel is going through a significant renovation. There were multiple construction vehicles at the front entrance when we arrived and we could not access the parking lot. As we entered the hotel the construction was very apparent. I understand the need for renovation the only problem was that the web site did not indicate that some floors were under construction. We were not happy having the construction interfere with our stay.
The next disappointing feature of this hotel is that is does not have enough parking to accommodate the hotel guests. If the small parking in front of the hotel fills up you are on your own. We asked the front desk, "where else can we park?" We were told to to find a metered spot. Well we went round and round trying to find a parking space. We ended up parking about 2 blocks away from the entrance to the hotel. This is a downtown hotel and there are many "sketchy" people. I did not feel safe. My expectation is that a hotel needs to have enough parking to satisfy all of its guests.
The room was ok. I understand why they are renovating. The shower curtain smelled of mildew and I doubt had ever been washed or changed. In our room (1501) when you sit on the toilet the toilet paper was about 4 feet away! It was funny but inconvenient; when I figured out I had to stand up to reach the roll, i just laughed and said..."really!"
