Stayed here on a business trip. The hotel is a little older and shows some wear and tear, but it is clean and comfortable and the staff are fantastic - friendly, courteous and helpful. The attached restaurant serves a great breakfast. Dinner was good, but there are too many other dinner options in Burlington.

Excellent for a moderately priced accomodation

I really love all Hiltons because of the mattress that they use, which is perhaps the only one I can sleep on properly, as well as the overall cleanliness of the rooms and helpfulness of the staff. In this particular case, I was most impressed with housekeeping because after one day, they figured out how I needed the bed to be made without my having to say a word, only from the clues I left by the placement of special pillows that I need and brought with me. Otherwise, I also had great help from other staff who helped with using the electronic room keys and some minor issues with the room that were solved both pleasantly and efficiently. The restaurant seems particularly good, and I had the same soup on successive days because it was so good to my particular taste (a Parmesan tomato soup) . One note that might help: Many rooms at all price levels have walk-in showers, and I recommend these rooms to any guests who might have difficulty with tubs. In this case, the tubs in at least some of the rooms have a barrel-shaped bottom that is difficult to stand in, especially if you have a bad back, and you only want to shower.

Helpful staff, well run and comfortable

Pros: Very accommodating and helpful staff - a big reason we like to stay here. Efficiently run and quiet. Fast complimentary WiFi. Clean, good housekeeping and has fridge. Well located, close to I-89. Those large cookies at check in. Decent furniture, furnishings, toiletries, good shower. They may not do it in future if constrained, but we were pleasantly surprised when they extended our check out time to 2:30 pm without extra charge on two occasions.

The beds aren't too firm, but comfortable. Room size isn't lavish, but adequate. The indoor pool is nice and the gym has free weights and exercise balls in addition to the usual cardio machines, though no strength training machine(s). The flat screen TV in room is a smallish 32", with one HBO premium channel. The breakfast is sit in and fairly pricey, not one of those lavish hot complimentary buffets as in some other hotel chains. They still have old style (expensive) room telephone rates (including for toll free calls exceeding 60 minutes) but that shouldn't be a problem in this cheap cell phone or Skype / VOIP era.

Overall we're very satisfied and happy with this hotel.

A comfortable place to stay

Double Tree is easy access from the airport. Nice restaurant onsite. Hotel is a bit dated, but comfortable enough. It has a pool and a gym which is nice if you get the time. Starbuck across the street and a really good Bagel place over there too. Rooms are small, but mostly updated. We'd likely stay there again on business.

The cookies at check in are the best part

Saying the cookies at check in are the best part isn't necessarily a knock on the hotel, the cookies are pretty good . This was a fairly standard DoubleTree experience. The lobby was maybe a little nicer than others I had stayed in. Location is convenient to the airport and not too far from downtown ($8 Uber ride). The AC worked well, and the bed was comfortable. The room had a refrigerator that came in handy. The service at the front desk was nice and helpful. Overall, a good value for the very reasonable cost.
