convenient place to stay in salem
pdinsureon 27/08/2017 12:44We stayed in this hotel one night before the eclipse August 2017. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds. Everything was clean and functional. Very spacious rooms. Delicious cookies at check in and again if you asked nicely. I experienced poor value as I was charged rack rate (or more) for the room due to limited availability for the eclipse.

Tom Mon 24/08/2017 20:23The hotel was right next to a strip club and located between the highway on-ramp and a 24 hour McDonalds drive thru. The noise of car racing with very loud mufflers going most the night made sleep very difficult. The only good thing about the hotel was the staff was extremely friendly and the rooms and property were clean and well kept.

Ed Pon 24/08/2017 19:57Great experience at this Double Tree. Staff was friendly and provided a warm welcoming. Was surprised to find Solar Eclipse glasses in our room provide by the hotel. That was a nice touch. Staff was helpful in suggesting activities and places for viewing the eclipse. The hotel was full, but the staff seemed relaxed and provided the "human touch" to provide an enjoyable experience.
Eclipse trip
Lena Kon 21/08/2017 22:01We stayed at Hilton's Double Tree hotel to experience the 2017 Total Eclipse of the Sun. The hotel is in a convenient location near Interstate 5 and close to the state capitol and Willamette University. We viewed the eclipse on the university's campus, along with hundreds of others.
The hotel offers a wide variety of breakfast items in their morning buffet, the staff is helpful & friendly.
Terrible service and accommodations
thomasbU6590YWon 14/08/2017 13:01As a long time Hilton member I have stayed in numerous Hiltons across the United States. This one, by far, had the dirtiest rooms, rudest and most incompetent staff. I dont recommend staying at this hotel unless you like those conditions. Walls are extremely thin. Very unusual for Hilton!
