Great hotel close to Logan with a much better price
JohnnyReb007on 09/06/2017 12:28As usual, lots of conferences push Boston prices up. I found this gem near the JFK Library which is just 12 minutes (real minutes) from Logan.
It's a bit older but super clean and the staff was amazing.
I highly recommend this location.
They also have a cool new fresh concept that prepared a fresh chicken Caesar Ronnie that was outstanding
Nice Enough Hotel but No Extra's
kimhY9933KQon 07/06/2017 20:15The Double Tree in South Boston was a nice enough hotel. The room appeared clean and was nice. However the bed mattresses were horrible. They left me with a sore back and even my son complained about how uncomfortable they were. We were also shocked to find that the rooms did not include a mini fridge or microwave. You could rent a mini fridge for an additional charge but it was not included. Considering that most hotels/motels have offered these free for almost twenty years now it didn't seem right that guests were expected to pay even more, on top of the cost of the room and additional cost of parking to have this. If you are looking for a nice place with a decent room with no extra amenities or a Wow factor then I would recommend staying here. if you are looking for a hotel that offers a little more and a comfortable nights sleep then I would not recommend this one.
Enjoyed our Stay
nangefvon 06/06/2017 05:35We stayed one night after our cruise. Great rate too compared to hotels in the city. The hotel shuttle picked us up at the airport 10 minutes after our call, he had just dropped someone off. The hotel has shuttle service to the aquarium and a list of restaurants in the area. Its a short walk to the Metro to go into the city. All staff from front desk, housekeeping, shuttle and café staff were so pleasant. We enjoyed dinner at the café on site. Great wings and hamburger. They do have a breakfast buffet available to. .Small bar area, good business center available too. The Harbor walk is a 5 minute walk away, we enjoyed walking along the river, scenery was beautiful, looking across the river at Boston instead of the hectic tone of Boston. Its only 10 minute walk along the harbor to the JFK Library. Our hotel room was a comfortable, clean and a nice size, room safe a plus. Hotel shuttle took us to the airport the next morning. Shuttle Leaves on the top of the hour. Make sure you sign up for a slot when you check in. Cookies on arrival a plus too. We will stay again when in Boston. You have to be a Hilton Member for the WIFI to be free. So sign up before your stay, its free to join.
Nice Hotel
Alejandro Aon 05/06/2017 20:07Staff is very friendly. Rate was good according to the standard of the area. Good cost/benefit relationship overall. They charge for the parking (not cool) and breakfast its very standard. Air conditioning its too loud

Donnie Con 05/06/2017 18:54From the front end experience when I first arrived, to the overnight service and friendliness of Kingsley, to by far the best service provided by Natalia complete with the first time I have ever laughed out loud with delight because of a hotel service, my overall experience was nothing short of excellence. The best can be measured in how an Hotel can provide its guest with service and delight them so it's only natural that Natalia and her group is simply the best. I love my cookies and my new 40' yacht!
